Was constantly having a check engine on my Audi A4 around 135k miles. Went to the dealership and they were quoting me insane prices, even just for the diagnostic. Thankfully one of my friends Dan referred me to Sam at Advanced Auto Clinic. I am always hesitant to go to franchise mechanic shops so i did not want to take my Audi just to any jiffy lube or car-x.
This place has experience with foreign vehicles and after the hospitality I received at Advanced Auto Clinic, I definitely would go here instead of the dealership 10 times out of 10. Sam worked on my car, gave me an honest explanation as to what was going on, and then gave me a fair price.
Hard to find that with mechanic shops nowadays. He even called me after the fact to follow up and see how the A4 was running. There is a reason this place has been open for so long.

I had originally heard about Advanced Auto Clinic from a friend of mine, who has used them on many occasions over the years with good results. I called Liz and getting my Escalade in for service was so much easier than dealing with the Cadillac dealership service department. I was very happy with their customer service, their prompt or and their prices. I have since taken my Audi there for service and will be going back later this fall for some pre-winter oil change/winter tire swap. I'm happy to have met Liz, Sam and Oscar and am very pleased with them!

Sam, Liz, Oscar are in my opinion the BEST!! Have been living in area since 2016. I have a 2009 BMW 135i. When I had an issue with my car some suggested FIELDS BMW. Great service and accommodation there however, can be a bit costly $$$$ then, someone told to try Sam at Advance Auto Clinic. I have been a customer ever since. Sam, even though he can get testy has, always had my best interest at heart so much so, I’ve recommended him to everyone including “family”who is having issues with their foreign vehicle. Great work guys!!!👍

Sam is the best in the business. I had a myserious tire leak after having new tires installed. Sam helped diagnose the entire problem. He walked me through everything and now I have no issues. Liz was also great in squeezing me into their busy schedule. I'm only going here from now on.

Sam is the best scam artist your money will buy you. Brought the car here and he diagnosed with all sorts of issues that the car didn’t have. Not only that he was as rude as you can get. Took the car to Toyota dealership and the dealer said given the age of the car, the car was in the best possible condition. Hey buddy Sam, if you are gonna do business in IL make sure you know the climate. Car is a 2005 model and he was like omg the under carriage has rust. What car in IL that is 20 year old doesn’t have rust. We got scared because Sam said it was junk car and the Toyota dealer said that rust is normal for any car older than 6-7 year to have rust on the underbody. What a scam artist and scumbag this Sam fella is. Save your money and time before going to this dude. Piece of ado ice for SAM: just because undercarriage has rust doesn’t mean you have to replace everything that is on the car. This advice is courtesy of Toyota on Eden’s so make sure you call them and thank you Sam the scammer

Sam is wonderful to work with. Diagnosis problems quickly, communicates well, excellent repairs, and always honest. Just a nice guy who does good honest work. I’ve brought my car to Advanced Auto for years, and I will continue to do so.

The mechanic lied to me. Just to get an extra $30. I've used conventional oil or more recently a conventional/synthetic blend for my 2002 Honda since I bought it in 2003. The sticker says 5 W 20 conventional. He put in synthetic without asking and tried to tell me 5 W 20 means synthetic and the sticker on the engine block calls for synthetic because all 5 W 20 oil is synthetic. Not true. It comes in full synthetic, conventional or synthetic/conventional blend. I told him I've been using conventional 5 W 20 over the life of this car. I know that 5 W 20 means oil viscosity is 5 at 0 degrees F and 20 at 212 degrees. I'm doing something right because not everyone gets 20 plus years and 200,000 plus miles out of a 4 cyl gas engine. He just says "No it isn't! Honda makes the car and recommends synthetic! Look on the engine block sticker!" The sticker says 5 W 20, but nothing snot synthetic.He lied to get an extra $30 out of me, but I won't be back because he lied. Pretty short-sighted of him. I might have become a return customer and I might have written a nice review. I just have a problem with liars.

I got a flat tire and went right over. Sam did a great job managing expectations and fixing the tire within an hour. Great service and great value. This is the only place I take my cars.

I had the best experience with Sam today! I was looking into buying a used car from a nearby dealership and in an abundance of caution decided to have Sam take a quick look at the car while on my test drive. Sam was so attentive, and so friendly, he immediately took a look at the car for me and was spot on with diagnosis! I loved his honesty, his expertise, and most of all diligence in helping me! I wish I caught the name of his desk assistant, she was equally kind and comforting. I can comfortably say this is a reliable establishment I feel most comfortable taking my car in for maintenance going forward! I’m SO happy I’ve stumbled upon this gem, and will definitely be using their services again as I embark on my used car buying journey!
