My latest experience with BOA has not been good. First the Evanston (Chicago) location had closed temporarily. So, I went to the BOA (Wilmette) and they wanted to charge me for a Cashiers or Certified check. I'm concerned and disappointed with BOA right now. I am a customer).

The customer service at this bank is just absolutely atrocious. Save yourself the trouble and bank somewhere else.

I tried to get some banking business competed. I walked in and explained what I wanted to accomplish and they required me to make an appointment for a future day. Three bankers and I was the only "customer". I made an appointment, and when I arrived they met with me and told me they could not help. I called Chase and they got right on it an took care of my needs.

Not very happy with the staff at this location. I came to deposit some cash to my checking account and right away was sent to ATM. I would understand if they were busy but I was alone. So my question is why? Are they not happy to have some more cash to "play with"?

I've had great service at this bank. They took the time to work with my kids so I can teach them about money early, they are open and responsive on weekends, etc.

Bad experience there. I needed a cashier's check or money order to pay a bill from business account. I handed the teller my BoA Business Debit Card, made my request and 5 minutes later he came back to tell me I'm not a signatory on the account therefore he can't help me. The other teller present agreed with him, but still didn't make any sense to me cuz 1) I know I was a signer when I opened the account; 2) I've had no problems since account was opened in 2006; 3) a year ago I got a new card printed with MY FACE ON THE CARD! WTF. Anyway, since they doubted I had authority to get money out of the account, I went to the ATM in the branch, withdrew the cash and tried to get a money order. As far as I knew, my ability to get either a cashier's or maybe it was money order was Not tied to my being a customer; I thought being a BoA customer effected price. Well they refused to help me because "I wasn't a customer." I was pretty ticked off and decided not to show them my other BoA card linked to my home mortgage, my rental property mortgage and the associated checking accounts. But a manager came out and offered to get to the bottom of it. No luck initially, roughly 30 minutes had elapsed since I walked in the door and I finally showed my other card. The manager gave the blessing to the teller to give me the money order (free I guess) while she continued to research. The lame answer she gave was that the 'Jr' on my driver's license or account that threw them off. Maybe, just maybe, due to the fact the business name was on the card- not my name- there might have been confusion but I did show them my driver's license. I don't know what was going on today, but this was a situation with layers of incompetence or lack of familiarity with their own systems. If not for fact I went out of the way to go to this branch and it was 20 minutes before closing when I showed up, would've left.
