Regular services and I’ve been a customer for many years. However this year will most likely be my last. H&R Block has “out priced” itself. I use a straight forward tax form, not itemized and it still costs BIG with zero justification. H&R Block you did it to yourself.

Good service but cost us 4x to file this year than it cost with our previous HRB office in Northern California. Our taxes did not get much more complicated so not sure what to make of it.

My tax preparer was thorough and allowed me to sit with her so I could explain certain aspects of my itemizations that aren't clearly interpreted by someone from outside my business.

Horrific...on the phone now with the Illinois CPA Society and Lawyer. Paula Crismond tells me over the phone that in error she shreded our tax file after spending an hour going over it. Said she would file an extension and did not. Completely unprofessional and scam artists....the lawyers will be dealing with them...they messed with the wrong professionals...no professional ethics...escalated to corporate H&R Block as well. Never have seen this..and in the north shore ...all a bunch of con artists.

In past years, I've been very happy with my service, but this time was different. We went to the office on March 16th, and were told that, due to the pandemic, we'd have to leave our information, and that the tax advisor would get back to us within two weeks. After a month and a half, we had still heard nothing. I tried to contact the office, and the receptionist took my name and number... and nothing. I tried again the next day, with the same result. On the third day, when I became more insistent, they at last let me talk with the tax advisor, who finally took care of our tax return. The deadline was then less than two weeks away. I'm sorry, but there's really no good excuse for not getting back to us for a month and a half, for something that should have taken only a few minutes.
