“First time visit to Joseph’s. I purchased their mild & hot sausage along with prosciutto di parma. The older gentleman who took my order was patient and kind despite me coming in a few minutes before closing on a Friday.
I highly recommend Joseph’s, their sausage was so delicious and not salty as many other places are. They are pricer than other locations however it is worth it to support a small business and their high quality meats.
I’m looking forward to returning and being a regular customer.

“This family owned Carniceria has some of the best meat in Chicago, especially the skirt steak, which is incredible on the grill. They also serve some of the best carnitas on the weekends. If you’re planning to get their fresh, homemade guacamole, be sure to call ahead and place your order. The prices are very fair compared to nearby grocery stores, and it’s always a pleasure shopping here thanks to the quality, value, and friendly service. Staff speak both Spanish and English which is a bonus! Highly recommend this place.”

“My family and I stopped by to grab some Middle Eastern ingredients for a homemade dinner, and we had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our little ones were excited trying to touch and buy every sweet in sight, and the staff was honestly more patient and understanding than we parents were ?
The store also has a butcher shop, and we picked up some fresh lamb that turned out absolutely delicious. Great selection, great people, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.”
“A great market focused on meat, but with many other selections. The nicest choice of fresh red meat I've seen anywhere in Chicago. Also a great selection of hard to find items like rabbit, venison, squab, duck, goose, quail, guinea fowl, etc in the freezer case. An exceptional assortment of fresh store-made sausages and dry jerky, pepperoni, etc. Plenty of (mostly frozen) seafood too. The largest selection of mustard and sauerkraut anywhere I've been. And yes the have Bavarian pretzels (frozen) and tons of prepared side dishes too. I could only find paid street parking, which was the only downside. Still well worth it to shop here.”

“My family has gone to this shop for meat and groceries for over 20 years. It is the only place I have ever known when it comes to meat. To this day, even though I live more than 70 miles from Chicago, whenever I am in town I stop by and stock up. Good quality meat, good prices, and a decent grocery selection of Indian spices. They also have a parking area in the back of their store, which is useful at times.”
“My wife comes here to get difficult to find ingredients for some of her top secret recipes. The place is usually busy and I believe that the prices are rather reasonable. I am curious how they get such small crabs I mean I thought there were laws about fishing certain species until they are of size.”

So, for me, it's a bit expensive, compare to Bangladeshi shop on Hamtramack, Detroit as well as less number of things available here. But the people are nice and at least you can buy stuffs here. “You say goodbye, and I say Halal Halal Halal I don't know why you say goodbye I say Halal This is a Halal Meat Market on Devon in Chicago. If you know Devon, you know Chicago's Indiatown. This is the heart of the massive CHI Indian and Pakistani community so you'll find a lot of great restaurants and grocery stores - and of course meat markets like this, all in this part of town. I guess the main issue is that I don't eat a lot of meat anymore and some of the meats don't really do it for me, I'm not sure if freshness is the issue or if it's just they're not to my tastes. But if you love Halal Pakistani type meats and cooking you'll be in heaven here. Coming in here tends to get to me emotionally and make me a little queasy because I'm a dirty hypocrite, but they provide meat to some of the best restaurants in Indiatown and I would say that as far as Halal markets go, this is one of my favourites.”

“What a great local shop for fresh meats, eggs, dairy and more! I do not know that much about different parts of meat, and employee took his time listening to what I was looking for, explained differences of parts of meat, I got to choose things suitable for my capability of cooking(im not really good at marinating and cooking We also tried a few jerkies and sausages They were so gooooood!!! I also got a beautiful freshly cut t bone steak Cannot wait to grill(on my ninja fryer grill) and feast!!!”
