I would give zero stars if I could. The people working there define what’s wrong with government. They work hard to not work

Worst service ever. Not only slow, but very unfriendly.
They told me to leave my package at the counter just to send it because they were busy and everyone left their package at the counter. I did the same.
24 hours later, My package is still not scanned!

Rude, ill-informed, AND expensive. ($65 to mail a small stuffed toy and medium plastic doll to Canada) Use Fed Ex to mail pkgs instead. Costs about the same now, and Fed-Ex will tell you when your pkg. will arrive. Wilmette said they had no way of knowing; it was anybody’s guess. Really? For $65?

USPS.com disabled my account for no reason, so I called them and messed with their stupid phone system for 30 minutes before hanging up in a fit of rage. Now I will never be able to ship anything ever again.

I give them a big fat ZERO! Worst customer service! I got up extra early to stop in before going to work. I needed to mail a small stuffed bunny and a card to my 13 month grandson in Ontario Canada. The man told me it would cost $45. I didn't want to pay that amount especially since my daughter and grandson will be visiting soon. I asked how much it would be if I just send the card and he said it would still cost the same. I asked if there was any other way and he said not from there. I decided I would send it on my own, on my way home from work I stopped there again to ask if they sold international stamps. I got a different guy this time. Each stamp was $3, then the other man came out and I asked him how many stamps I'd need for the card I showed him when I first came in, and he said 6 stamps. I only needed one according to Google but I got two to be sure. I didn't have the card with me. The other guy helping me said I could mail it from there. I don't know why I didn't tell that guy why he didn't tell me I could simply buy stamps and mail it out! Do they get paid commission or something? Why would he do that? I had to go out of my way and make two trips! I never write reviews but this really upset me! ?

When I went online to look up the hours of our post office, I noticed that our post office has a poor review rating on Google. I thought to myself how strange that someone would take the time to review the post office. Who cares? How bad could it be? But then I went into the post office myself…I was the only person in line and the clerk saw me walk in. She was chitchatting with another colleague for over five minutes while I stood there. The entire reason I went to the post office is because I had a time sensitive critical letter and I thought it was worth handing to a person to ensure it started off on the right path. The clerk never acknowledged me or said, “I’ll be with you in just a moment.” She just kept chitchatting with her colleague. The customer service was so impolite that I decided to write a Google review out of solidarity with the folks who wrote one before me! I admit, I’m laughing at myself for doing the very thing that seemed quite silly just a few minutes ago. My goal is really for the manager to do some super basic customer service training. When someone is in your line, it’s so easy to say, “thanks for your patience, I’ll be right with you.” Bigger problems exist in the world, that’s for sure, but maybe this will help them to make the post office line a little beacon of sunshine rather than a rock in our shoes. Have a great day!

Love when you call a place for an answer to a question and their idea of customer service is to put you on hold until you hang up, when they get back online surprised you haven't hung up - they know exactly who you are, restate your question and then put you on hold again. The only good thing I can say about this place is at least the Northshore now gets to experience the crap service the rest of us living in less pricey zip codes experience. Might as well spread that civil service job security "I can't be fired attitude" around.

If I could give them zero stars I would. What an unpleasant experience. Unkind and inflexible attendant dealing with passports. Poor people skills.Something tells me none of these reviews matter but if by chance anyone in the hiring unit is reading considering cycling out this sort of people, move them to sort mail or somewhere behind the service counter where they don’t have to deal with people face to face.

Don't bother going to this location - go to winnetka, evanston, skokie or any other nearby suburb. Bad service, really slow, and very unhelpful staff. Wasted 45 minutes to get zero help. Only had one woman working and line was moving incredibly slow.

Cool building, terrible service. Specifically, we go for days, sometimes whole weeks without receiving any mail delivery. We had a great mailman last year who moved away and now we're stuck with absolutely horrible service. It's a different carrier every time and they often deliver after 7 or even 8pm, if they deliver at all. I seriously don't get what the problem is. But if it's too much trouble to actually deliver our mail, at least tell us to come pick it up. At this time, we haven't had mail delivery in 4 days. This is unacceptable. We have legal notices and other mailed items we are expecting. I wish we didn't have to use mail anymore, but certain businesses still handle it that way. We got a certified letter that we had to go pick up because our mail carrier was apparently too lazy to even deliver us the first time. Are they not paying enough or what?

Rude and unable to handle any issues. Hung up when they had nothing or didn't know what to say. Do not recommend unless you want a headache for the rest of the day.
