Completely remote entry. Can't understand the people talking from another country. No explanation of where to go to deliver. No idea what the hell to do. They sent me to 3 different doors! Not impressed at all

Hello,
I recently came to deliver a load at an Amazon warehouse and wanted to share some feedback about the check-in process at the gate.
The interaction was done through a speaker system, but the audio was very difficult to understand. The voice on the other end was muffled, and the person had a strong accent, which made communication quite challenging. I had to ask multiple times to repeat, and it caused unnecessary delay and confusion.
Also, requiring drivers to turn off the engine during check-in makes the process uncomfortable — especially when the weather is extreme.
I hope Amazon can consider improving the speaker system for clearer communication and rethinking the engine shutdown requirement to make the experience smoother for drivers.

Security gaurd gets the only star he was great. Check in process is beyond ridiculous. Pull up to a screen an a bunch of cameras. Get connected to a call center in India. Static ridden connection to people that barely speak English with accents so bad you can't understand anything over the static. Then they get ignorant with you because their slurred horrible English is inaudible. You are trapped between gates they control. Then they make you leave because you are more than thirty minutes early. And you have to repeat the process to exit the facility. Then come back fifteen minutes and do it all over again.Absolutely ridiculous come on Amazon for real. Cheap cheap cheap hire some people here to do a job here. Not some pennies on the dollar call center in India!Shame on you Bazos.

Good luck checking in if your a truck driver... could barely understand anything they were saying between the McDonald's drive through speaker from the 1980s and the heavy mouth breathing in the headset mics. Finally got inside only to have to summon a live human using a makeshift CB radio... they told me it would be a few min for unloading. It's been 2 hours and still waiting for unloading... I might be here through next Christmas at this point.

The managers are young and stupid! They walk around like they know everything until they speak , Then it like they had a stroke . Nothing they say makes any since!

What do you get when you have Ivy league educated people sitting around a conference room in a meeting? You get Amazon's new check in system that I'm sure cost millions and doesn't work worth a damn. Whoever is trying to talk to you off site over the speaker system sounds like they're under water with a mouth full of hot grits ? It also doesn't help that the English language is not their first language. God forbid you would actually go up to a guard shack or check in window and talk to an actual person. Wouldn't want that to happen! This is what happens when fortune 500 companies set out to fix a problem that isn't broke and doesn't need fixing. Can't check in until 30 minutes before appointment time. People are actually nice but it's management that takes a simple concept and complicates it by over thinking it. Not every thing needs to be automated. Do I expect anyone in management to listen? No, you can't tell anybody anything that already knows everything.

The building itself is fairly bright and open. It's a newer building and it's not dim or drab. The employees working there seem to be pretty okay for the most part. More people are upbeat and positive than not.***No matter what you think your body is capable of doing, If you have any past injuries or restrictions don't take this job.***This is a very heavy job and you are moving heavy boxes all day long. 4 days in a row 10 hours each.Your body will feel this.Otherwise nice clean break areas inside and outside, lots of staff empowerment and morale boosting accommodations.**Biggest complaint would be be inability to talk to humans in upper management in Amazon. Everything is through computer or app. There is an employee app called A to Z that everyone refers to. Personally it feels a little cold having to interact like that when you have issues. All in all I give them middle grade because I can see where those of upper management are trying to make a decent place to work. I just don't think they have any clue as to what a typical employee is putting their body through on a daily basis. I believe if they did they would definitely cut hours and pay more.In my personal opinion traveling the world and seeing thousands and thousands of job options, This type of work should be a much higher wage and less hours considered full-time. I can seriously see the breakdown of a person's body much faster in an environment like this over years of working. This is all my personal opinion and someone else's view may be completely different.

Thank you Amazon! First you don’t want truckers arriving before 15 - 20 minutes before appt time. Then, once we arrive it is discovered that Amazon had decided the day before to initiate their new check in portal. What a joke. The people operating this process are remote and are almost impossible to understand. They are confused and have no clue as to how to check a driver in. So they have you pull into the “need assistance” lot while a live human driving the yard dog comes over and gets you checked in. Once In and unloaded, good luck getting back out. I sat at the same ridiculous gate for 20 minutes talking to a woman who isn’t t even on property and who couldn’t let me out because I was not attached to an Amazon trailer. I asked her how she could let me in but can’t let me out. At this point, what ever amount of English she could speak prior, she suddenly spoke no English.Because of Amazon wanting to be woke and cater to the crowd who believes human interaction is a sin. You (Amazon) have shown you have no regard to the human(s) that deliver merchandise to your warehouse. You don’t care about appt that we humans who drive trucks have to make once we leave your Fort Knox. I had two other drops after I finally successfully negotiated my release from your prison of a portal. Late for both thanks to your inability to test your new toy on your own drivers prior to forcing it on us OTR drivers. You expect your products to be delivered on time and so do our other customers, yet here you are playing God, and dictating rather we can carry on with our business and make money.Sorry excuse of a check in system you have. Short term people making long term decisions that impact the very people who help supply your business…let that sink I. A minute.I won’t return to any of your facilities!
