Caroline at the Wilmington branch was an incredible resource for me when visiting the bank last week. She was eager to answer my questions and opened the doors to a plethora of options for me when seeking advice on my accounts. She went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a bank employee. I left knowing more about my own finances, ways to get the most out of my money, and an open door to come back with future questions. Thanks for making my day, Caroline!

I’m sad to even give this review. I was so hopeful for this place. First , I opened the account online NEVER received any disclosure forms about anything. Then I called the customer service center inquiring about my debit card they said one had been mailed. Two weeks later went to the branch and they had to mail me one. Then had this account for about 70 days and they put a 10 day hold on a 4000 check lol and I wasn’t told there would be a hold until after it was deposited and I was also told I’d have 250 available. That was a lie too. Long story short I’ll be leaving this bank as well. Bummer too I really wanted to like it .

Good luck trying to reach any branch representatives over the phone. They just drop the call. I've tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, calling various times with long breaks in between, but surprisingly still no answer after my 4th attempt. Why even bother having a phone number at that point?

Horrible communication between underwriters, local staff and the clients. 3 weeks into a boat loan and I still didn't have a check. Underwriters could have obtained all the info they needed with a phone call to the current lienholder but instead they made me do all the footwork for them.Went to Municipal Bank in Bourbonnais and had a check in 2 days.Stay away from US Bank.I will say that Kristie is very friendly and tries to help but I think the deck is stacked against her.

The people working at the Wilmington branch are wonderful to deal with. My complaint is about something totally beyond that. I opened a HELOC at Charter One Bank in Braidwood. US Bank took over Charter One and my HELOC. When the draw period ended, my agreement allowed me to convert to a 15 year mortgage at a fixed rate instead of the adjustable HELOC rate. Prior to rates rising like crazy I tried to take advantage of this provision. US Bank refused to honor it. Don’t ever use US Bank for such financing.

I called today, 3/13/23, after I got off of work at 1:52 pm to schedule an appointment to open a business checking account. The representative I spoke to was able to schedule me an appointment today at 4 pm. At 4 pm when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I had everything needed to open my account including my Articles of Registration, EIN, SSN card, ID, etc. then the banker who helped me told me that they can not open a business bank account for me. They said US Bank does not allow them to open a business checking account for the type of business I am. My time was wasted and I am frustrated. Going forward, I will never attempt to open an account here under any circumstance.

I have been with this bank for a bit, but it has only been a rough ride. At first when I started my account they told me that I could only deposit up to $200 per day and $400 per week. I was alright with that clause being for the mobile deposit. I was not fine with my first work check being more than $400. The app would not take my check so I went to cash it in manually. The clerk who took my check seemed very snappy at me for not using the mobile app, the same app that would not take my check. After that fiasco, I was not happy. A second instance happened recently when I needed to grab a check to buy a car from someone. The bank told me they don’t print checks anymore despite me being able to get voided checks the prior year. I may miss out on being able to purchase my first car because of this now. I do not suggest this bank as they belittle you when you have to work around their mechanics on and off their app.

Horrible hours! 9-5 Closed before you go to work & closed when you get out of work. The outside of the building under the drive thru awing is disgusting. Tons of hanging cobwebs & thick coating of bugs... even the canister tubes, holder & buttons are full of webs/bugs. Its been that way for years too. Gross. Unfortunately they closed the closest branch to us, so we have to drive farther.
