I went shopping here one day and I got a bunch of things when I came back home I opened I bag of chips and it tasted weird and I have always bought these chips and they always tasted Normal and like I said it was really off so I checked the bag and it was expired by 2 months so i went back to the store and forgot about the situation and I remembered I should check my items to see if anything else is expired and half of my stuff were expired by a month or so ago then I went back to the chips I bought and checked the back to see if it's expired 8 of the bags were expired but from one brand so I imagine their being way more expired chips in other brands just I didn't check so I took the bag of chips that was expired and told them nicely that a bag of chips is expired then they rudely took the bag and walked away right after that I put my things away walked away and never went back. Worst option never recommended.

We were excellent customers big this particular Jewel but the store director and customer "service" representative were verbally abusive over the phone. Made me cry and hung up on me. This was over a simple raincheck question. The CS person lied to me also. This is no way to treat anyone yet alone a good customer. Reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and they have lost our business too. Shocking Jewel would employee people like this.

Watch the wt scale in the produce department, its always off by a quarter pound. this has been writen on June 22, 2023 and today, July 15, 2023 the scale still hasnt been fixed or replaced after assuring me it would taken care of. Nothing like cheating you 1/4 lb of cherries you didnt get but will play for it Everyone gets a receipt when checking out and paying for your groceries, why put those stickers on your purchase? If they want to check if you didnt pay for a product, you have your receipt.

We are a big fan of this Jewel, which is corporate owned. We normally Drive up and Go. Lori remembers both my husband and I and is always so friendly. We so appreciate her so much. She makes sure to never crush or pack our groceries and always tells me if there was a substitution. This past week I stopped in to pick up flowers for my daughter's bday and Katie helped me. A family member works at a high end florist, but I can't afford paying three times as much for flowers to have them arranged. Katie helped me pick flowers and arranged them beautifully and it cost me less than 1/3 of what the same bouquet would have cost me at the big name florist. If you need flowers for ANYTHING, visit Katie!

Tried to fill to my xanax, day b4 thanksgiving and the lady siad she cant fill it because its an opiod and they need to call a doctor, im like first of all its benzo not opiod and if she logs in and looks at my profile she could see that i have been taking it for over 15 years amd picking it up every month... so pretty much screwed me because the pharmacies were closed on Thanksgiving and yeah.. went there on friday other pharmacist was like ok give us 15 mins. So the one star goes only to the new blonde older pharmacist who thinks ppl abuse their medications or something.

Jewel Osco Pharmacy Wood Dale is very prompt and cares about its customers. I see them working hard during the pandemic, administering vaccines and filling prescriptions pretty much nonstop and at any time of day. They are a credit to their parent company Albertson's

On Thursday I have gone to this Jewel for flowers and balloons. I have found the floral section empty with barely any flower choices to pick from. While walking around in the floral section I saw a women behind the counter (Shelley). Buried in boxes of new shipment and working. I approached her and asked her do they have any roses specifically red roses. Shelley responded what's out there or what's in those boxes on that pallet wrapped up. Shelley was occupied with eliminating old plants but decided to help me and take the palet apart and pull the roses out for me and put the four bouquet of roses for me. I just asked to combine them in any way nothing special. She arranged a beautiful bouquet of red roses for me. Filled balloons for me that I was buying that day. Not only did Shelley address the customer being me but she went out of her way to provide customer service which is so hard to come by these days, and for that I am VERY THANKFUL! Shelley in floral deserves a raise and acknowledgment by the management for her excellent customer service that she provided on Thursday, July 1 at Wood Dale Jewel.

I stopped in on Monday 5/23/21 to pick up a few things at approx. 1:30 pm. As I was standing in front of the celery bunches, an arm suddenly appeared in front of my face to grab a bunch of carrots that were directly above the celery. I turned to see who did this, as I would have gladly moved to get out of the way had I been asked to do so. It was a personal shopper complete with bright magenta pink hair wearing a Jewel smock and a nametag that said CePal or TePal. Not once did he apologize or excused himself. I'd think w/the Covid situation, the store employees would have been instructed to follow the distancing rules that the store dictates to its' customers. A little common courtesy would have been nice also.

I usually like shopping here. The prices are higher but the service is usually good. Well tonight that stopped. There is a highly crabby lady with brown hair and glasses in the deli section. She's given me attitude before. Last 4 times I got chicken from another employee they would substitute the 2 wings in the 8 pc deal for something else. I shop for my older parents there each week usually spending 200 or so. They don't like wings. The other employees said sure we always have left overs anyways. Well she came out screaming you can't have this and if you want it your gonna pay Ok I said. I'm thinking 2 more bucks. The total is 14 dollars. Um no. So I see a guy walk by who looks like a manager. His name is Kevin.I tell him the situation. He says oh they can't do that. No sorry about this or sorry my employee was rude. No thanks for shopping here each week. I admit I got a little mad. I didn't say anything that bad though and he said I could leave. No I have a cart full of groceries. The douche just hides behind the deli counter while a sweet girl just gives me the special. He was probably eating that 14 dollar chicken since it was bagged. I'm crying to her about how times are hard and managers should be nicer. Kevin and this lady must take the extra chicken home for how worried they were about two thighs. Kevin should not be a manager if he doesn't understand customer service. Go back to training and learn to listen. I can't even imagine his management skills if the place gets really busy. He also just took my bag of chicken out of the cart while I was on the phone asking my Mom what to do. Seriously. You don't just put your hands in someone's cart and on their bag. How unprofessional. I work in customer service and I would never treat a customer like this. Luckily I'm blessed with good managers. This guy doesn't deserve the good team that works for him. Well minus the deli lady police. I will ask for someone else to wait on me if I ever get her again or wait for someone else. Don't need to be yelled at by her for no reason. Granted I admit I was shaken up. I've heard others had problems with this guy too. He's got a bug up his butt. Walking around likes he's better than everyone. What a pompous a*** Hopefully they retrain his bad customer service skills. I can't think of the other nice managers name now but you have an issue and Kevin is there just leave or ask for someone else. He ain't going to help you anyways. He acted like he could care less if any people shopped at this location. Great manager he is. Ugh. Make one of the other good employees manager asap. He wonders why I'm upset when he just dismissed what I said about the rude lady. Go down the street to Frank's where they treat you like a valued customer. Btw Kevin had them give me dry chicken on top of it all. Glad I didn't get those two extra thighs now. They want to charge you 14 dollars for extra. What a crock of crap!!
