This specific post office was very nice! Always a pleasure to drop off my stuff for shipping with the workers behind the counter here!

Worst experience ever. Their system took 700 from me. They only refunded $350. Getting lawyer as soon as possible.

I grew up south St Louis and for me to compare this as worst than any post office in st Louis is absolute facts...workers here are extremely rude..you never get the correct mail ...n your mail goes to others homes..7 pieces of mail in one day one being my license plates for my car... everything but my plates was delivered to my home...my plates ended up 6 houses down but thankfully they walked them up to me n left on my porch...put in change of address postcard n was picked up by postal worker..2 weeks later still was not receiving any mail..went up there to close out my po box and asked about my change of address only to be told because I didn't personally bring it in and show my identification that it was automatically thrown in the trash ...
Also every time I'm expecting a check in the mail I never receive it...never..have had 6 different checks I knew were coming for rather large amounts ( over 1000$) and yet they never show up . Seems extremely suspicious considering they can't even deliver mail to correct addresses..

Stole and or lost my package. Claimed my husband picked it up. Yet I was with him the day we picked up mail and it was not there. Went back and they claimed I already have it. So thanks for nothing.

Long wait and no labels to be found. Just like every other USPS in the country

Well my last post was deleted by the Wood River Post Office. My guess is because they did not like hearing the truth. The Post Master Jane, went out of her way to not help me considering my package was mailed out of her post office December 1, 2020 and then only to be returned under false actions back to my house instead of the military base in S. Korea like it was intended almost 3 months later. It is one thing to be overwhelmed, during the holidays, but then to refuse to refund my postage because of the mistakes caused by the USPS is another thing. I had to get the USPS advocate group involved and they 100% agreed with me and requested the post office to issue my refund. Thank goodness for them because, it was clear the Post Master does not understand the proper procedures or have the common decency to do what is right. The fact that they took down my original response proves once again that a formal apology from Jane is just too much. It's sad that she made no effort to resolve the problem and thus the horrific 2.7 rating of this post office. In my eyes the Wood River Post Office deserves 0 stars.

Staff was very attentive and friendly in helping me answer my questions about post cards and stamps. Very knowledgable about the services offered, and extremely helpful in guiding me to the right choices that best fit my needs. Thank you for your service and keep up the amazing work! Y’all are amazing! :)

We recently moved to Wood River. I've already had to call the post office twice with problems. The first time was when our mail carrier just threw our mail on the porch instead of walking up on the porch to put it in the mailbox.I called again the other day to check the status of a package being delivered to find out that they delivered it to another address. I'm not having any luck in trying to get my package which is a $70 tool.

This location is not my local one but I go to it instead because it is better staffed and I recieve better service. I ship alot of items I sell through Ebay and I have not had any issues.

The employees at the Wood River Post Office go above and beyond to help out whenever it is needed and in five years at this address, I've not had a single issue with my carrier. I can honestly say I've had the same experience at all the other places I've lived over the years, as well. Makes me wonder how some of the negative reviewers approach their problems at hand. I've had several issues in receiving late packages, but that is an issue that is far outside the scope of responsibility of the local post office staff. Pat, in particular, has been incredibly helpful to get any rare issue resolved that I've encountered and should be commended for the genuine consideration she has to help out whenever it's needed.
