Fortunately, we checked out where our storage unit was...it did not exist. We had to call Red Dot, who gave us a different unit, only after insisting that the first unit existed (it did not). That was our first experience with Red Dot.

Very pleased with Red Dot Storage. Every other storage company I've contacted insisted the smallest unit they had was a 5x10 which was way more than I needed. As a result, I wound up renting a unit that was at least 5x what I needed and paying double what I needed to. Thank you Red Dot! Don't ever eliminate your 5x5 storage units. People do occasionally still need to store only a few items and they don't want to pay for 3, 4, or 5x the space they need.

No local contacts. No accountability. The gate has been broken for 90+ days. My attached picture shows you what you actually get. They raised prices while the gate was non-functional, and they outsource phone support to overseas, so you can never talk to anyone that can or will actually do anything. When I asked for a price reduction to compensate for the gate being broken, I was told they don’t do that.Long story short: Red Dot’s business model is to scoop up mom and pop storage facilities, hike the rents, and cut out any and all accountability.Despicable.

Rent increased from $55 to over $95 per month, yet when you go online you can rent for significantly less for the same size storage at the same location. This is what you call being upside down on rents! Looking for a new location.Update: they responded with a canned answer! I tried to contact and they did nothing. Stay away

Snow removal needs to be more efficient. The general appearance and aesthetic of the property is neglected including overgrown weeds, filthy gravel areas, and debris in the driveways

Renter beware. I've been renting a unit for a couple years. It had an understandable rent increase. Went from $85 to $95 per month. Just got a notification that the rent is now going up to $164 a month. Screw you. That is just pure greed. Over a 70% increase. Just criminal. Called the customer service number. They justified it by saying the contract says they can raise the rent.

Due to COVID & personal situation I needed my payment postponed in February 2021. I called a d spoke to a foreign sounding representative. She seemed confused as to what I was asking. Finally, she understood and stated that my payment would be processed on the 14th. At NO TIME did she state there would be late fees or that I could simply stop the auto-payment by opting out on their website. Anyways...My payment was not postponed and it caused me to postpone another payment with a larger late fee. So I discovered the fact I could stop the auto-pay and I did. I paid my March 2021 payment on 3/17 - but not before being hit with $25 in late fees and my gate code suspended. They (Red Dot) was Johnny on the spot to prevent my access to the facility; however, not so quick to re-instate them.March 31, 2021 - 14 days after payment made and 12 days after clearing my bank & I still do not have access. Red Dot refuses to refund half of month rent. They stated I could call for a temporary gate code - unfortunately that code does not work either. I am now on hold and have been for over 15 minutes and no access.A GREAT company will always perform when getting paid but TRULY AMAZING companies understand there will be turmoil and how they react will ultimately determine their reputation. That is why 1 star.
