I’d give 0 stars if i could. My partner took his car here to get an estimate for a rear ending accident that he was not liable for. After waiting nearly 3 months to bring his car in for the repairs, it was finally time. He dropped off his car on a Tuesday (his car was still driving perfectly fine and the trunk was able to shut despite denting) , and waited for the insurance company to come look at it the following Monday. They had to take different parts of the car apart to see the extent of the damage, finding that a previous accident repair left his car with underlying issues, one including the blind spot sensor not working. The next day, they called and informed him that they refused to service his car due to "liability issues". Understandable, I guess. He decided he'll just take it elsewhere. Then, on Wednesday (today, 8 days after dropping off his car), he went to go pick up the vehicle. They handed him his keys and sent him on his way, only to see that his trunk was now taped shut and wouldn't close all the way. He asked an employee and the manager why his trunk would shut before but not anymore. They claim the hatch had broke while they were taking it apart to look at the damage. AND THEY WONT FIX IT! Now his car isnt even able to be driven safely while he waits on a new body shop. IF YOU GUYS BREAK SOMETHING THAT WAS FUNCTIONAL BEFOREHAND, YOU NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT! So ridiculous. Guess now we wont be going on our spring break vacation anymore since we cant take his vehicle on a road trip safely. thanks for ruining everything.UPDATE: I understand the previous shop did the repairs wrong and it can’t be fixed at carstar, that part i am not upset about. The part I am upset about is that they took the back panel off, relieving pressure and causing the hatch to not be aligned properly. If they care enough about customer satisfaction, they would put effort into trying to correct this and return the car in the condition it was in the first place. Bend the back panel out or something to make it close like it did in the first place. It’s not rocket science. If you guys care so much about liability, you’d make the car as safe to drive as it was prior to bringing it in. Instead, the trunk now makes it unsafe to drive. They can argue as much as they want, but it doesn’t make what they’re doing right.

They were so nice and as a women I am always afraid that when I go into any kind of mechanic or auto body shop that they'll think I don't know what's wrong with my car or that they'll try to sell me something I don't need and they didn't do that at all. He took a look at my car and said he'd take a look in the back. About 10 or so minutes later he comes and tells me what was wrong and how he fixed it. Hands down the best experience I've had in over a year. I will definitely be going back if anything else happens to my car.

Title: Mixed Experience with Carstar, Saved by Robinson'sI recently had my car's front end fixed by Carstar after an accident, and the initial job looked visually impressive. However, upon leaving, I noticed an unexpected flopping noise. Despite returning to Carstar and Midas, whom they outsource some of the work, both claimed they couldn't find any issues, leaving me feeling dismissed. Carstar suggested seeking an independent mechanic for a diagnostic and paying out of my own pocket.Fortunately, I turned to Robinson's in Aurora, Illinois, where they discovered a serious problem – 8 out of 10 lug nuts were loose on the front two tires, posing a significant safety risk. I'm grateful for Robinson's expertise and diligence in identifying and fixing this potentially dangerous issue. Even more impressive, they did not charge for their services. A mixed experience overall, but Robinson's went above and beyond in ensuring my safety.

Took a few months to get the appointment. But it was around holidays when I called, parts needed to get ordered, etc.. so I understand. Once appointment came my car was fixed and back within a week. So happy to have my car back to normal! No more weird side eyes from people as I’m driving hahaAlso great and straightforward customer care. They worked well with my insurance. No complaints.

I had an Estimate done on my Vehicle a few weeks ago. l went to Carstar telling the front desk person that l needed Carstars Email to submit information to my Auto Insurance Carrier regarding the repair. Initially l was told that they do not do the repair work that l was given a written quote on a few weeks before. He told me that the last timeI was there was years ago. He stated that l do not have to come off as l was. I responded back that l am going through some very difficult circumstances and that l hoped after telling him what some of those were that l would be met with a little understanding. Instead l was told that he would not fix my Vehicle. I called the Corporate office and was told to go somewhere else for my Car needs.I am really surprised that an Onsite Manager would dismiss a person based on their tone in their Voice, particularly with the circumstances involved and that Corporate would (apparently) back up their Employees no matter how they treat their Customers.

Wife’s car got rear ended. My insurance (State Farm) listed them as an authorized body shop so I went with them. They gave me an accurate timeline for when parts would arrive as well as for when the repairs would be completed. They coordinate with the enterprise down the road as well to arrange for rental car pick up and drop offs so the entire process was very seamless. Extremely happy with the repair work, the entire back end of the car looks brand new. Highly recommended!

Was very happy when getting my car back. The car looks great, and it was clean inside and out when I picked it up. Kept me informed of when it was gonna be ready and when they had to order parts great communication, great customer service. Very happy!!
