The people who work here are a special kind of person. The work they do is difficult, and underappreciated. Thank you for the warm welcome to your facility and helping us find a new family member. We look forward to seeing you again when it's time to introduce Tonka to another Good Boy or Girl.

great place to work. My family also adopted our dog from here. Bubba was 8 when he was brought into KCAC, his owners gave him up. KCAC made the process of adoption easy, and gave us the tools and we needed to introduce Bubba into house. Thank you Kendall County Animal control.

Always helpful with animals we find or need removed. Clean, friendly environment. Located near the government buildings so you can find it on your GPS.

I've put in two applications and yet no reply. So much for trying to help an animal on need

We had a great experience here! We went in to see a dog we were interested in adopting and all of the people there were so nice and helpful! We ended up taking the dog home that day and the whole process was very easy! Thanks Kendall County Animal Control! We love our new pup!

Just adopted our furbaby Jaxon and he is a love. From the first phone conversation through taking our little guy home the staff was courteous and helpful. Jaxon is just what we were looking for and a perfect addition to our family and Milo, our old man of 8 years is coming around a little more each day! Thank you so much ladies for all your help!

I work at Kedall County Animal Control, so I would like to clear up a few misconceptions . We do adopt to people with animals however we must follow the law. If you are over the pet limit in your town we simply cannot adopt to you. We do ask that every member of the household meets the pet and that is true of almost every shelter and rescue. We have a few reasons for this, one reason is we want to make sure no one is allergic to the animal . Sometimes we are dealing with shy , abused or neglected animals so we want to be sure they feel comfortable with the adoptive family. I don't want that statement to discourage anyone from adopting or for people to think all shelter pets are broken or damaged because that is not true .We get a lot of totally happy, and well adjusted animals as well. Also we do not receive taxpayers dollars which is true of most animal controls. Most of our funding comes from rabies tags sales. As for crimnal charges, that is up to the states attorney not us. We are very small and really do whatever we can for the animals. I have been in rescue for over 15 years and have worked at 2 other animal control and I think we do a fantastic job with what little resources we have.
