We took my sweet Miley to VCA last night (Feb 26, 2024) to have her put to sleep. We have used VCA in the past for our other babies and will continue using them. They are nothing but compassionate! I seriously appreciate the empathy they have always and continue to show. Yes, they are on the pricey side but to me it's worth it just so my babies feel comfortable! Thank you from the bottom of heart ❤

They answer the phone is the only reason this place will get a 1.I believe they are outrageous on their prices. We recently had a really bad emergency with our old Cocker Spaniel. I was in Fort Wayne and the husband was here in Anderson with our boy which was 14 yrs. He had a inoperable tumor for the last 8 months. We knew he could pass at anytime. We weren't worried because he was eating and drinking great.I get a call from the husband the dog is bleeding badly. I call the vet. No I was told we are closing in 45min to take him to Fishers. It would take us 45 min to get there. We were literally 5 min away from this place and I was told no. Needless to say he passed. Blood all over the house, our dog. The husband takes him to Care Animal in Muncie where we used to go and we will continue to go. They were wonderful with us and him. Unlike being told No, we are closing in 45min, sorry, thank you, click! To this hospital please don't respond to show your lack of ignorance

We had our shepherd there per a quote on the phone we were promised. Vet Rhonda tripled the bill and blamed the receptionist for not knowing her job. She was very rough with our shepherd and he started to growl at her, I would too. We had him muzzled but it wasn't good enough for her. She informed me she wasn't about to get bitten. And out their leather muzzle over our muzzle. Dogs sense good people and vet Rhonda is not a good person when handling dogs in my opinion. He never growls and is never aggressive. The only reason I'm given them 1 star is the kind assistant that tried her best to help in a bad situation. She was very angry at how things went as well. This situation was made worse when I went to the pharmacy to fill out dog's scripts and they called vet Rhonda to get her license info and staff informed them they were wasting their time, they had other clients to deal with and hung up on them!! I know this is lengthy but I do not want another dog mistreated or client mislead with the old bait and switch on pricing. Don't let them do it to you!!!!

Missed our appointment in the AM due to a family emergency. After dealing with it I called the office to apologize and reschedule. I was told they don’t have any appointments for the next month and that I can’t be seen. Then they explained that I could have been seen today, but I missed my time and now someone else couldn’t see the doctor. The interaction was very negative.Because my pet can’t be seen for a month, it’s about their medication, AND I was spoken to poorly about missing my appointment, I’ll be finding another vet office.

skittles our puppers had a gash and our regular vet had told us to take her to the VCA in Anderson and I was impressed. They were super nice and friendly. They did a nice job on the stitches and going over the directions with us. It was a relief that they could do it before weekend and I didn't have to worry about an infection setting in. The ladies at front desk so nice. if they were closer to where I lived I would consider changing vets. I really was impressed!!!

My dad and I had brought our cat in due to needing an emergency bladder unblocking, and our home vet being closed. After taking him back and doing exam the tech and vet inform us it will be nearly $2000. My dad was not able to, financially, make that happen. Instead of them being understanding of our situation, they questioned us nearly 4 times and kept telling us "the cat is going to die tonight." In my opinion, I found this very disrespectful and unkind considering we told them our financial situation wouldn't be able to support this treatment. Very unfriendly during check out and giving us our cat back. We left in complete shock that we were treated so awful, on top of our emotions with our poor cat being in so much pain.

Took our sick old cat there today. People were cold and unfriendly. No one introduced themselves to me. Had no idea who was who. First lady at desk was just okay. Second one was hateful from start. Almost accusing me of not taking care of my cat. She was rude. Think the vet came in to put her down but not sure if she was or not. No one talked to us about anything really. Not at all good!!!Will Never return.Plus it cost 2x as much as any other place.150.00 This place made the experience 2x worse.Do not recommend this place to anyone for any reason.

Went here to have my favorite dog put down. The staff was super friendly, considerate, and compassionate. They made the process as easy as they possibly could have. Thank you for helping lay my big girl to rest.

Yes I took my cat Delilah there a couple months ago and they wouldn't give her a shot of antibiotics or anything and she end up dying a few days later. All they care about is the money and not the animals. I wouldn't take anymore of my animals there.

Dr. Fizer and his team were kind & helpful. He listened to me, explained things well, and was supportive in our difficult decision of how to proceed with care for our dog, Sasha. He ultimately supported us through Hospice care for our sweet girl, and we are forever grateful for his help! I didn’t even know this was an option. I feel the price was very fair—$230 dollars for an exam, his professional guidance and time, and her medications for home to keep her with us and comfortable. Thank you, Dr. Fizer and staff, for the great care!

Very professional and friendly. Very caring. Took my kitty in fir a sudden illness ,our regular vet was closed and we have dealt with Northwood in the past. They relieved our fears for the time being and maybe that it's a one time thing. They worked on her for quite a while. Thank you so much.

Very caring staff!! Had to put two of my dogs down in the last year and the staff here are very emphatic and sweet. Also took my dog there a few years ago as a emergency with a tumor that had opened up on her ear and was bleeding heavily. They stopped the bleeding and they didn't charge me told me to use my money towards her surgury at her regular vet. That meant so much to me and truly showed they care about the animals health!!

Had a stray that a neighbor and we were taking care of. He had been in a fight and had a under the eye scratch. That needed stitches and antibiotics. The neighbor took him and they said he’s in pain and gave her a huge price. She did not know. They put him down. He was NOT in pain he only need a few things. Do NOT bring your animals here

Came in on an emergency visit for my cat who was full of fluid and in discomfort, they took her back for an ultrasound, came back and told me they couldn't see anything do to all the fluid and busted out paperwork for me to sign, letting me know I'd have to pay between $1500 to $1800 for more test and to then have her transferred to an indy hospital and that can end up being $4000 after they are done.Today, she seen her dr they did x-rays and drained 250ml of fluid off of her and did x-rays and blood work all her organs are in great shape,, we were given medicine to help her potty, Northside told me no on that one, and medicine to keep the water off of her. They never offered to drain her, we left with her still very uncomfortable and me thinking she was in heart failure, today she got top notch treatment at Country acre animal hospital and is already feeling better, always get that second opinion, it can save your fur babies life.

they did everything they could to save my baby. at the end of the situation we couldnt pay for the treatment she needed so she had to be euthanized. the staff were so empathetic and kind, they are a bit pricey but the staff there genuinely care about ethics and animals.
