Staff needs to properly access corporate resources before going forward with important judgements that can literally ruin someone’s life in the blink of an eye; for the fact, too many checks and balances slows down client projects… And for that fact; I am 100% cognizant that I asked clearly, concisely, and directly for the open decision to get our check back, but of course, this bank’s upper echelon turkey vultures are to detached from the local community to move forward with the funding; for the fact, my family earned respect working everyday for multiple years, still pulling 100 hour weeks, all through collaboration; accommodation; and forced compromises with those that always seek the bigger end of the stick!!!Now, we get told we didn’t earn our dues after 12 years of loyal patronage. I am sorry but good things do come true to those that have work ethic and if the boys club at the top is not willing to accept that… I will make sure the community knows, compensation ensues… Goodbye. Goodluck. And, next time say your words correctly, match the customers rights with respect, and most of all as businessmen keep your words for those define your actions!!! Expect litigation. Merry Christmas. Mine is getting spent alone because of your low class banking establishment!!!

I've heard so many bad things about this bank and now I understand. They wanted to charge me almost $250 to cash a check on their bank since I didn't have an account with them.

Your ATM stole my debit card on Christmas Eve this bank is awful. You should feel great that my child won't see their dad for Christmas cuz now I'm stuck outside Angola without a debit card because your machine would not return to me

The Angola branch people are wonderful. The bank as a whole doesn't care about customer service. Every time I have to deal with a mortgage issue I get pushed to a corporate number and these people are rude and not understanding. I tried getting a good rate on car loan a while ago but I ended up going through a smaller bank who appreciated my excellent credit rating even more and ended up with a better rate than 5/3 could give. If your escrow drops, watch out because they will give you less than two weeks to come up with a much larger mortgage payment. Thanks 5/3 for valuing me as an important customer. They really don't care and they make it quite clear. And one more thing - if you have to stop a vendor from auto billing your account even after you tell them not to, 5/3 will do nothing to avoid future payments from being taken from your account and they will point the finger at you for initiating auto bill in the first place. I've had one vendor that I have been trying to stop after 5 months ! Not kidding - and it's still ongoing. Gla

This is the best banking experience I have had in years. The location is perfect. Grace helped us open a new checking account.

As a local bank they are great people but unfortunately the company these nice people work for has no compassion or concerns for the customer.

After not finding what I needed at other banks I decided to stop in and see what Fifth Third had to offer and I was not disappointed. The location has a drive thru, ATM, and a lobby. The bank is not a stand alone building but a part of a modern, multiuse facility. There were spots for 2-3 tellers inside and two offices for loans, accounts, and business banking. As a chain, they have branches and ATMs all over the United States which is a positive for people who live, travel, and work in multiple states. I was greeted quickly when I walked in by the teller and the branch manager. After telling them what I needed I worked with Grace, their personal banker, to set up a new account. She went over all the options for different accounts, had literature prepared I could take with me, and answered all my questions. She was organized, professional, efficient, extremely personable, and polite. It took less than 20 minutes to get everything set up. I was able to make my first deposit the same day I opened my account, set up direct deposit, and was on my way with a smile on my face from a great experience. Overall they made a great first impression on me and I look forward to being their customer in the future. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a bank in NE Indiana.

Oh contraire, moose breath. these folks are always friendly and smiling. When I pull up to the drive thru they recognize my voice. And, yes, I've had a debit or two because I over drew my account, Thats' my fault. not theirs. I have accounts at four banks in town. Love these people.
