The customer service is condescending and rude. The cashier mistakenly wrang up a bouquet of flowers that were not in our cart. He said to go to customer service. We received a paper receipt for a refund of $53.50. My credit card account shows the original charge without the refund. The refund does not show. I called Kroger customer service who indicated there was nothing they could do. They were rude with a condescending sing/song lilt in their voices (2 separate individuals I spoke to). I have protested and challenged the entire charge amount. Shopping anywhere but Kroger from now on.

The Cherry pies are awful every time. Pasty inside with no fresh looking cherry filling. I threw it away. What a waste.

Generally this store is great, but I was in line recently when I got a call from work, and I said "I'll call you back in two minutes " Colin and Will were working that line, and they took that as a personal challenge and I've never had such an awesome, speedy, profesional and NICE experience! I am super grateful for such excellent and pleasant service, especially in these days of rush, rush, and rush.

They are good when someone is actually working. They open late and close early. It’s very inconvenient. If your store say 9am to 9pm then that’s what it should be, not making your open schedule. It’s unfair to the customers that actually want to buy!!!

This review is kind of a mixed bag, but, ultimately has a happy ending. I have a friend who sent me a Kroger e-gift card so that I could use it for fuel, but, it turns out, Kroger doesn't allow you to use e-gift cards for fuel, even though it says in the terms and conditions of the e-gift card that you can use it for fuel. So, I spent an hour at this location in Avon trying to get it resolved but was unable to get it resolved because I didn't have certain personal information about the purchaser. Frankly, I don't understand why an e-gift card can't perform the same functions as an actual physical gift card. It would be great if Kroger could rectify this. My hope is that in the future, Kroger will allow e-gift cards to be used to purchase fuel. With that said, the acting store manager I believe, Joseph, was really great about everything. He was literally on the phone for probably 30 minutes trying to get it resolved and he had to call a few different numbers to get to the correct department. Unfortunately, as I said above, because I didn't have certain personal information about the purchaser, they could not move forward with the process. Joseph, however, went out of his way to help me and bought me $30 dollars worth of gas with HIS money. Pretty amazing customer service and Joseph was cool as a cucumber the entire time because he knew I was stressed about the situation. I'm not mad at Kroger or anything, because I love shopping there. But, they really need to update the legalese in the terms and conditions with regard to their e-gift cards so that it doesn't say you can purchase fuel with an e-gift card. Joseph is an amazing manager and human being for helping me because I truly did need to get gas and he made that happen. There are still great people out there who want to help and I am grateful that they exist, because we need as much human kindness as we can muster in this world. Because it is only us, as a collective, who can change this world. Thank you for helping, Joseph, you are a good egg:) I will continue to be a loyal Kroger customer because outside of this minor snafu, Kroger is still the best grocery store around.

This Kroger is filthy. There is no other way to say it….I have never seen a grocery store this bad. Trash is everywhere, spills all over the floors not cleaned up, rotten meat smell in the aisles, messy aisles and shelves and just overall dirty. I say this as someone who shopped here on and off for five months. Today was the last time, it is just disgusting. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt the first few times thinking maybe it was staff issues, but it clearly is a management issue. The lines are horribly long, the staff is incredibly rude, dismissive and not knowledgeable….not sure how this place hasn’t been shut down by corporate or the Health Department.

I'm not a die hard kroger shopper. But this location has definitely got it together at least in the organic produce section. First the store is ALWAYS very well organized. Accept the ice cream section lol. But mainly the organic produce section is very well stocked every time I've been in there. More so than probably any kroger I've been in.. everything is vibrant and stacked so nice. You can tell someone is periodically coming by reorganizing as they should.. the presentation is probably so pretty makes you not want to mess it up lol. Workers are always very friendly and greet you/ thank you for shopping. Good job kroger avon!

It is a good store. Prices are OK. Normally stocked well. Often busy and checking out takes a little longer than expected. Staff could be far more welcoming, but when I have needed help to find an item they have exceeded expectations. It is way past time to replace their grocery carts! They are in terrible condition.

They just make up their own hours! Hours say they open at 9:00 but when you try to go to there the people working slicing meat ignore you then when you finally get them to acknowledge you they say “we aren’t open”. When asked WHEN they open you get different times depending on the day, sometimes it’s 11:00 sometimes it’s 1:00!!!!! Then they close whenever they want too! Sometimes 6:00 & sometimes 7:00. So basically you are “open” for 7 hrs. MAYBE??? This is some terrible service.

Don't go after 9:30pm because if there is any type of system error or you get over charged for an item there is no management to fix anything. Their solution is to have you come back the next day because. Got charged full price and the discounted price is $37 cheaper.

The Kroger in Avon, IN is a complete embarrassment. Every time I do grocery pickup there is always something out of stock. So, tonight I decided to do my own shopping. They had less than 50% of the items on my list and no produce, most of which was to feed my 6 month old. The manager simply said “they were very busy today” and was unapologetic when I told them this was not an isolated incident. Don’t shop here if you plan to walk out with everything you need!
