They have some allocate bottles at a fair price. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and helpful .

“We stopped by on the way cross country to find 3 Floyd's and War Pigs beers because they're not sold in Kansas. Misty and her staff were extremely helpful! We bought their entire stock out of the case and she even called the owner, Liz, and got us a small discount which was very helpful for our $700 bill. We will definitely come back when we're in town for the Indy 500 and recommend Payless Liquors at 5014 Cambridge Way, Plainfield, Indiana 46168! “I look really young and usually get treated super rudely at liquor stores but the guy working there didn't trip out like everyone else usually does; damn near screaming at me for my ID while I'm already pulling it out and then scanning it and looking at it under a magnifying glass like they can't believe it actually scanned”

“The manager Michelle is awesome to see every time we go in for our alcohol. Very kind and pleasant to talk to. Unfortunately the man that I dealt with the other day was not very pleasant. He acted like I was wasting his time. I had to move some money around on my cards and to get my sister's alcohol and he was very fidgety I asked him if I was keeping him from something and this would only take a minute.. he said he's busy he's always busy.. he says there's always things to do there I said yes I understand.. but I explained to him that I was just trying to spend a couple dollars there and I tipped him and then I told him he was rude.lol you just can't deal with people that are buying alcohol all the time with a frown and an attitude... It just doesn't mix well. But everybody else that works there is just fine they are always giggling and laughing very pleasant atmosphere and very clean.”
“Moderate selection of beer, wine, and liquor. If you just drink the same common drinks everyone else does youll be fine. Didn't have what I was looking for. Luckily 5 blocks up was a Krogers which had it. I will say the customer service was great. I was greeted as soon as I entered and even assisted in helping me look for items.”

“Ive lived in this area for 20yrs and this was my first time going over there because of the many liquor stores around my home, but with so much construction now and convenience it's really the best one to go to. I was in a rush so I didn't see all of their selection or deals but I'm pretty sure they're all the same. But as far as avoiding pot holes and long lights and early closing times, I would definitely advise this liquor store.”
“While in Indy for the week I checked a few liquor stores for inventory of unique bottles not found in Virginia. Big Red Liquors is a chain of stores so I expected a large amount of bourbon. When I entered the bourbon section was in front of me. A friendly clerk acknowledged me. I asked for any allocated bourbon and was directed to the rear where they had a few nice selections. She stated they got a truck in this morning and most was already gone. The store was clean and presented nicely. They are one stop shop for Spirits. Wine & Beer. The staff remained friendly as I browsed the shelves for bourbon. She stated she was newer, but she wanted to learn more about whiskey. The selection was weak unfortunately. Prices were good. Although I left Big Red empty handed I was very impressed with the female staff who went out of her way to assist me. 3.5 rounding up with strong service.”

“Nice looking store. Sad to hear the store owner died about six months or less back. He was a face you always saw there every day. He would crack jokes, very pleasant man. The service is always quick and no communication because the man can't speak English but he seems fine. Wish he knew some English sometimes when I have questions. I always find something I like no matter what anyway. You never know what I just might be in the mood for. Just kidding I don't drink anymore but my daughter does so I give her transportation up there for what she's in the mood for. Clean store. Nice cashier. Quiet. That's it! I haven't drank in two in a half years. It was fun while it lasted. Those days are definitely OVER!! Not good for the body at all!! Terrible.”
