“Ever have one of those days? That happened to me on a Tuesday several weeks ago. I woke up to a dead battery in my Subaru. Was able to get it jump started but I knew I needed a new battery so I went to O'Reilly's because they will install it for you if you don't know what you're doing. And I don't know what I'm doing.
The gentleman who helped me, Russ, was amazing. He was able to identify several batteries that would work for me and he didn't try to push the most expensive. Once purchased he politely went out to my vehicle and spent some time trying to replace my old battery. Not the easiest thing. He was great.
Later the same day I had switched vehicles with my husband and found out during a rainstorm that the windshield wipers were disintegrating before or my eyes. So I drove into O'Reilly's again. And Russ was still working! I explained what was going on and he quickly identified different types of windshield wiper blades from basic to very expensive. We selected a medium grade windshield wiper and he informed me that it was on a buy one get one free sale!
And then came the above and beyond moment. Russ got a stepladder and proceeded to replace my horrific old wipers with the new ones. In the pouring rain. And he kept his positive attitude the whole way through.
So three cheers to O'Reilly's for hiring great customer service people. And thanks to Russ for making a really crappy day a lot better.”
