“Today marks exactly six months since I started living at The Fields, and from day one, I've had amazing experiences.
On my lease signing day, the leasing office team kept the promise and followed through. Later on, whenever I had an issue or needed maintenance, my problem was properly fixed in less than an hour.

In early January, one night my ACE had an issue, and Mike from the maintenance team came to my home at 9 PM to reassure me that everything was fine. To make sure I wouldn’t worry, he even gave me an electric heater, which stayed with me all winter. ? I'm really grateful for that!

The Fields is my first experience of living in the U.S., and I’m truly happy with my choice!

“Me and my partner lived at the Abodes Ulysses property for about a year and a half and found this to be an amazing first apartment for us. We had a pretty small apartment, but for the 2 of us it was perfect! The staff was great and always responded very quickly, and maintenance was quick to address any problems. Overall, a great first apartment.”

“My son is a senior at IUB and just moved into these wonderful apartments this year. It has been by far the best experience he's had. Everyone there is amazing, organized and on top of things. I wish we had known about them earlier. This is the kind of place you can move in your sophomore year and you will want to stay every year. Thank you to the owners and staff for a job well done!”

“I cannot find a better place in Bloomington to live. The apartments are brand new, everything works perfectly and the views of the apartments are beautiful. The administration is brilliant, as well as the maintenance team. Of course that you might have some problem, as that is life, but the important thing is that they find solutions. Once, my air conditioner was broken and they gave me a mobile air conditioner until they found the solution. The administration also answer mails during weekends.
It is a really safe place to live, quiet and surrounded by nature. It is really easy to go to IU by car, bicycle or by bus. The administration team is always prepared to solve any answer, and is concerned about cats, dogs, tenants, and everything. You will not feel alone. This is a community. I will miss this place. My apartment is a home.
The only thing that I would recommend is more control during the weekend on the behavior of people in the swimming pool. They bring beverages, which is not allowed.”

First of all I must say I was not ready for this in my but a stroke changed that and I had to find a way to except that and keep moving forward wel the staff here has help me with that portion of my life that was dredding but after a year of being a resident I am happy with my life I don't have a room anymore but an apartment my home in every since of the way, so look foard to hearing more from me because I am just getting warmed up because I have even talked about how beautiful this place is or walking out the back door to a nice waking trail yep Home.”

“I've been here for about a year and I haven't had any bad experiences. The Regency employees are friendly and helpful and the maintenance crew is great and will respond to requests pretty quickly. The area is beautiful in spring-fall and well-kept. Everything you need is within 2-3 miles. The rent is a little higher than most places, but I guess that's the price you pay for living in a nicer area.”

“I have been living here for two years and just renewed my lease for a third year. Overall I love it. The office and maintenance staff is kind, communicates well, and is prompt. Every issue I’ve had (from dishwasher not working to accidentally auto paying rent twice) has been quickly and politely handled. It’s a super convenient location and the spaces are nice and clean. The only issues I’ve had is the included internet isn’t always consistent for things like Zoom and the electric bill can be a bit high in the summers trying to cool down the space. Year to year rent has increased $15-30 a month which seems like a lot less than most places in town. I would recommend this neighborhood to anyone, but it seems especially well suited for grad students and postdocs, and is a good location for those without a car. I have recommended this complex to multiple friends in town. Note: many apartments provide incentives from tenants for 5 star reviews. This complex only said that they would donate money to charity for ANY review we left, which I appreciate.”

“I moved into College Mall Apartments 5 years ago. The Dear Park staff are wonderful, got me into my place on short notice(only had a month to look with basically no affordable places around me), but had a place open at a great price considering the location so close the College Mall. If maintenance is needed, depending on when the time called, they will be there within the next day. The staff respond to emails quickly and are understanding if any problems arise for whatever reason. I still very happy in my basement apartment(great for saving money on power as you don't have to heat or air condition as much).

If you need a place to live, I recommend checking out Deer Park Management's listings, e-mail or call them up, they just might have the place for you.”

“Best experience I’ve had renting in Bloomington. Very attentive and friendly maintenance staff (although they could give a bit more warning about when they plan on entering) nice place, good parking, pet friendly, friendly staff. I had a better rent than what they’re currently offering, but thought it was very worth it!”

“​Checked this place out for my IU student. Location is right downtown. The fact that it's fully furnished is a huge selling point. The staff was so helpful answering all my safety questions. Very large but felt secure!”

“The apartments are great and well furnished. Biggest problem is the Wi-Fi and TV. The WiFi is usually really slow and have to constantly switch to data which is inconvenient. The TV channels continuously buffer and don’t have a good connection either”

“The management truly cares and DOESN’T try to take advantage of residents (very rare in Bloomington). Had 1 maintenance issue and they responded immediately & it was taken care of pretty quickly. Move-in was easy and it is clear that they are a quality and experienced company. Have had no issues with neighbors or loud sounds.If the small size & low price are what you are looking for, I recommend Scholars Rock.”

“I have lived here for 18 months and will surely miss it. I'm relocating to a different state, otherwise, I would continue living here. The team at Cedarview Management just know how to treat their tenants with care and respect. The apartments are spacious and the modern finishes give it a nice touch. Great location if you just want to go for a walk! My neighbors are also really nice and understand that we are all professionals who need their quiet-time.”

“Lived here two years and never had an issue. They have timely maintence, a quiet neighborhood, and are located next to a 6 bus stop and are a 5 or so minute walk away from a 9 stop.”

“Have lived in Allen Court for two years now and have had nothing but an excellent experience with CS Property’s service. Maintenance is quick to resolve any issues, office staff is helpful through subleasing and providing appropriate heads-up over parking issues and apartment showings. They keep the grass well trimmed and even installed a dusk to dawn when I asked so that our doorway would be safer for my sister to enter and exit. Their rental prices are the most reasonable in downtown and our apartment was recently renovated. As a graduate student I would definitely rent a third year if I were staying in Bloomington after graduation. They get a lot of negative reviews from undergrads, and I find it hard to believe all these complaints to be warranted. Regardless, this graduate student highly recommends them.”

“I've been a resident at The Reserve at Chandler's Glen for a while now, and I have to say that their handling of a recent situation was nothing short of exceptional. An incident occurred involving an inappropriate behavior towards my spouse and I based on our sexual orientation, which could have escalated into something quite distressing. However, the management team stepped in quickly, ensuring that the issue was dealt with promptly and with the seriousness it deserved.

What truly stood out to me was how the staff approached the situation with a genuine concern for the well-being of everyone involved. They made it clear that discrimination of any kind would not be tolerated and took steps to ensure that we (resident) felt supported and safe.

The team also communicated openly with the community, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining an inclusive and welcoming environment. This response reassured me that The Reserve at Chandler's Glen is not just a place to live, but a community that values respect and equality.

“I loved and had an amazing time living at Stratum-- I especially appreciated having someone that was flexible and available for in-house fitness!! It really helped me find + build community there quickly for my short stay there.

It seems like they're increasing their prices like many other accomodations which is sad because the more you have to pay to afford, the less time you can spend actually just enjoying living there.

Also Wish there were more clearly signed recycling and composting stations. It wasn't clear to me if any recycling was actually happening or not. I missed having access to composting as well.”

“From my experience renting with Elkins, it has been an amazing and seamless experience. The office staff are always willing to help out and assist with issues in a fast manner. When we first arrived in the house there were a few maintenance request that had to be completed and they came instantly to complete them (less than 24 hours). When we arrived in our house everything was clean, appliances all worked, and the house was in great condition. Due to our experience with Elkins and our love for the property, we have all resigned the lease for the next school year. Looking forward to another year with an amazing property rental company!”

“I was skeptical at first to leave a good review during my first good interaction with the management but as time progressed I noticed that they really came through every time. Maintenance is quick. They answer the phone and email quickly and are just nice people in general. I know it’s hard to trust these companies but I’ve had several instances that proved to me that they are responsible and they listen ESPECIALLY in comparison to other places like Grant. I had problems with my sub-letter and they were always responsive and answered quickly. When I moved back in, they immediately changed the code for me even though they had to stay after closing. They never sounded rude, always answer their emails, and always listen and act on any concerns you have.With the amount of interaction I’ve had, I’m confident they are a good company to rent from.I find it weird their ratings aren’t higher on here!Highly recommend!!!!”

“I lived here for 2 years in college and overall, it was a great place to stay for the very cheap price I paid. Every person having their own bathroom is a huge plus, and the shared spaces are very spacious. We did have to put in multiple maintenance requests, but they were always taken care of in the next day or two. My main complaint is some ridiculous charges I was given upon move out, such as charging me to replace a single lightbulb and to put new batteries in the smoke detector (normal wear/passage of time should not be charged??). But overall a great, cost-effective location for college students.”
