I’m a parts store driver. Tuesday mid afternoon I was halfway through my shift, the only driver left for the day. Multiple deliveries all over town waiting for me every time I walked back into work. I didn’t get to sit down for my lunch and relax. I’m type one diabetic and slammed all day, tank was empty. The guy who ordered a single lug nut that was I assume covering for the regular guys (I’m assuming some sort of dm) got super shitty When I showed up with his lug nut 1 hour and 28 minutes after he ordered it. I understand how frustrating that can be. But with no notes on the ticket on how quickly he needed it and no call to say it was an emergency and he needed it asap I made the call to take a delivery that had been sitting for 30mins before he put this order in. Again I understand how frustrating it is to not get a simple part in a timely manner. But he met me at the bay door, asked for my name and told me to just take the part back and to tell my bosses that they should expect “his shop” to never order parts through us again and that he got yelled at by the customer because I took to long and that it’s basically my fault.
I’m a delivery driver, if I have 6 deliveries that have no notes or calls on how urgent they are it’s my job to make the most efficient route possible based on order time. I don’t disagree that we should have had more drivers, but that’s not in my control. I am not the one that is supposed to communicate effectively with the parts store and the customer so both of them understand the timeline everyone is working on. This pretty well ruined the rest of my day as I was already worn out.
Walt called my store as soon as he got back to his shop and heard what happened. Walt went out of his way and asked me to bring his next delivery so he could apologize. He looked me in the eye and shook my hand and asked for forgiveness as he explained that there’s no room in his store for people who bully others like how the other man treated me. Walt went out of his way to correct the behavior of one of his superiors no matter the consequences for someone who isn’t even a customer. I’ve spent 4 years working for a different corporate chain and had become heavily disillusioned with the corporate shops as a whole idea because how I have been mistreated. Walt restored my faith in knowing that there are genuine people in positions of power that go out of their way to help others and seek to understand rather than to blame others for their shortcomings. Thank you Walt. I would recommend your shop to anyone looking to get work done in the future.

Another great experience at Meineke on the West Side! I took my car in for an oil change, and as always, their customer service is top-notch. I really appreciate that they never pressure me into additional services.
As a woman, it can sometimes feel uncomfortable not knowing if suggested services are truly necessary or just an upsell—but I’ve never felt that way at Meineke. I trust their team completely. The owners are some of the nicest people I know—genuinely kind and very involved in supporting our local community. They’ve passed that approach on to their team, so you know you're getting quality service and are truly appreciated as a customer.
Highly recommend them for honest, reliable service!

I take my vehicles to Meineke for everything, they are very polite (especially Walt, at the front), do great work, get it done quickly and for a reasonable price. I have never had any issues and have stopped going anywhere else to get my vehicles serviced.

I had just thought I was getting an oil change and filter, but was pleasantly surprised to also have the tires checked and rotated as well as a general inspection of the undercarriage and brakes and a battery test. The test report was professional and included photos; very informative and helpful. Front desk staff member was professional and courteous and helpful. Will definitely be returning here for oil changes, as well as any other maintenance I might need. Zack (front desk) is awesome!

The people are Meineke West in Bloomington are always looking out for me. They’re easy to schedule with. I’m confident in them diagnosing whatever wrong and fixing it if I choose to go ahead. I’m going there now for regular service (oil changes, etc.) because they’ve always been so dependable. And they’re competitively priced.
