I can't speak to living in the building--I don't move to Bloomington until the summer--but I feel so strongly about my experience with the management team here, namely Shannon, that I wanted to write a review.I'm especially particular about my living space and finding an apartment 200 miles away in a new state where you know no one is challenging under even the most ideal circumstances. I spoke with more than a half dozen buildings and leasing agents and Shannon was hands-down the best. She was one of only two people I spoke with that was willing to arrange a tour of the actual unit available for rent, not a similar unit or a model unit. And when Morton Grad made my short list, she was also willing to let me view the unit in person. For those of you coming from big cities this may seem normal, but in 2022 Bloomington it is not. What impressed me most was that when I expressed concerns that the building didn't have many reviews and that I didn't know any current or former tenants that I could ask about living in the building, Shannon connected me with the current tenant of the unit that I was considering. This is just another example of Shannon going above and beyond. By comparison, when I expressed a similar concern with a different building I was told that I could "hang around outside the building and stop someone." And when I asked if they could share my number with the current tenant and ask if they would be willing to reach out to me, they lied (or were misinformed) and said this was illegal.I've only seen the unit/building via Facetime, but I can tell you that the unit was exactly as advertised and that the current tenant had nothing but positive things to say. They had already renewed their lease once and were only moving out because they were leaving Indiana. They described the unit as quiet, the maintenance team as responsive, and said that the appliances, hot water and HVAC system were all top-notch.
