The owners are excellent, gracious, and friendly hosts who make guests feel very welcome and safe. The rooms are clean, well decorated, quiet, and comfortable, featuring wonderful extras like king size beds, whirlpool bathtubs, heated towel racks, and heated toilet seats. Some rooms have fireplaces, though instructions for their use are not always provided. The morning breakfasts are wonderful, hearty, delicious, and very very good, often described as the best. The host is a fantastic cook who prepares items like egg souffle, bacon, hashbrowns, fresh fruit, and delicious coffee cake. He also performs a famous card trick. The property has lovely grounds and a game room. A sweet chocolate Labrador dog named Rockne, also called Rockney or Boomer, greets guests, though his loud barking could scare some. One guest found the female host odd and noted an unprofessional moment. The indoor pool was closed, which was disappointing for some, though this was stated on the website. Minor issues included a lack of instructions for the tea pot at the 24/7 coffee and tea bar and for operating a ceiling fan. Overall, it is a fantastic place to stay, highly recommended for a wonderful time, and many guests would definitely visit again.
