Person wasn't trained, she kept calling for another person for help who was slow to respond. Then I was told one of my tanks was out of date and they wanted an add'l $10 for an exchange. I could have went to Walmart or Circle K and exchanged it myslef cheaper and not waste a half hour of my life. The cashier didn't know how to process my refund either she needed assistance. I won't be back unless I'm bent over a barrel.

Love this place for screws, nuts, bolts, nails. Etc. Supply not good for assembled products like garage door weather stripping, or similar house repair products. Not really good for lumber, either.

Red head young lady at the desk was rude . She didn't even say hello . We waited in line while a man was helping another customer . She said what do you need to us . We left some items in a uhaul we rented please and three keys made . She handed off the key to another man . She wfled to the back to get our stuff , handed it to us and asked our name . Then she went back to talking to that other couple . Customer service is for everyone . Dam just be polite to people .

I purchased 3 gallons of paint @ $47.99. I used 1 gallon and attempted to return the other 2 gal with the intent of using the return $ to buy a different type of paint and supplies. I was content using the entire return amount at this location. I was not interested in getting my money back. Since my original purchase was over 30 days old (41 days) they refused to take my return for even store credit. The two gallons of paint I attempted to return were unused and in perfect condition visually.
The women that ‘helped’ ( I use that word loosely) me was completely dismissive and rude. At no time was there any attempt to make the situation a positive experience for the customer.
I could understand adhering to their 30 day return policy if I was looking for a cash/credit return. However, that was not the case. I already had the new items I wanted to purchase at the checkout counter.
This is an example why these independent businesses are disappearing to the big box stores. The rudeness, the dismissive attitude and a lack of any kind of customer service proves that.
Needless to say, I will no longer do any business with Ace Hardware in Brownsburg. I suggest if you are looking for a business that will help/ support you after the point of purchase, Brownsburg Ace Hardware is not a good place to do business.

What an outstanding store. Excellent supply of electrical parts: connectors and splices for AWG 24-10.
Well organized and very friendly/helpful people.
Go here first, and save yourself the headaches.
