I've been going here for years and have had good experiences and still do. I took one star off because the last couple of years my medications have not been in stock and need to be ordered. That was particularly hard when I needed to search elsewhere for an antibiotic that they didn't have and I felt like crap.
2/12/25 update - the pharmacists are very good at putting out all of the orders that come in but the last few times the communication was rude. A few weeks ago, an irritated pharmacist gave me a consult. I was at the consult window he was at his computer about 15 feet away so everyone in the store nearby could hear and he was agitated with me. Today, I went in with a slightly complicated situation and the pharmacist asked me at one point, "did you hear what I said". It was very condescending and I felt quite humiliated. I can understand that they have a lot on their plate but there is no reason for rudeness. I took a star off.

I went to pay at the counter and the clerk informed me I had to pay at the self-serve checkout. I said I’m trying to use a digital gift card and she assured me that that would not be a problem. After I rang up my items and attempted to use my gift card, it would not work. Then I had to wait for about five minutes while being ignored by the same staff member. She said oh, did you need help? I said it won’t take my gift card, I tried to explain that to you as to why I was trying to check out at the actual checkout desk. Needless to say I never got to use my gift card. First review I’ve ever left. I was just dumbfounded of how easily I was just push to the side and told I had to use the self check even though I knew it wouldn’t work For what I needed done.

I wish there was always a cashier available at the checkout area. Every time I shop here, I've noticed that I have to wait for assistance, which slows down my checkout process. Having a cashier consistently staffed at the checkout would greatly improve my shopping experience.
It would be helpful if there was at least a bell to notify the cashier that there are customers waiting for checkout... but even then, would anyone come out?

The Pharmacist was very, VERY RUDE. The rest of the store staff were very helpful and courteous.

I have worked in cvs pharmacy before for years in Boston/NY and I never denied someone immediately of their medicine especially when it was called in and about to go on vacation. I told her I needed to leave out of town and she said they can’t get it done for at least an hour. Not like 15 min wait, over an hour even though no one else was waiting for a prescription.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lonnie's customer service. His communication was lacking, responses were slow, and the overall service was far below expectations. Completely rude!

Worst CVS pharmacy in the world. Understaffed, they close in the middle of the day and sometimes they just close early at a random time and leave a note on the door. They will close the motorized security shutters while there is still a line of people waiting for their meds. They take unreasonably long to fill your prescription and when you call to politely inquire, they talk to you like you’re ruining their day. They lady today said that I should wait 24 hours before I call them. I just had surgery and I need the meds a lot sooner than 24 hours. So frustrating. I’m always nice and polite when I speak with people but they don’t return the favor. I don’t know why I’ve dealt with their nonsense this long. I’ll use a different pharmacy moving forward.

RUDE, insensitive, and unprofessional. The female with short hair and glasses at this location was so shockingly rude and unprofessional I was speechless. I call her Grumpy Glasses for short. NO ONE should be in this profession if they are incapable of maintaining respect, empathy, compassion, and patience toward people in need of medication for themselves or their loved ones--even when swamped with orders at the end of your shift. Get it together. I spoke to my doctor after getting this prescription to ensure we can use a different pharmacy moving forward. I feel so bad for the people who have to work with Grumpy Glasses, and the customers who have undoubtedly been treated the same as me-- if not worse. I truly hope someone above her sees this and follows up.

The head pharmacist has been patient, helpful and understanding every time I've needed prescriptions filled. It's like night and day compared to the location I went to before.

This location of CVS Pharmacy reminds me a lot of the location near my home that closed at 62nd and Allisonville Road. Located in a fairly popular strip center, this is definitely an old school CVS. You've got a single sided, manual glass door that is far from wheelchair friendly. As you enter, you can't help but wonder if you're entering a slightly newer version of the Indiana State Fair's Hook Drug museum. I did notice the employee at the cash register was friendly and helpful with customers. I did not encounter pharmacy staff as I primarily wanted to check out a couple things while I was in the area. If you're looking for a CVS with all the current bells and whistles, look elsewhere. There's no clinic here and aisle spacing is old school and barely ADA compliant. Selection is limited compared to most CVS locations, though as a neighborhood CVS this is probably just fine. Needler's Fresh Market is in the same strip center and between the two you can probably get what you need. I did like that they have two self-checkout registers here. One was open when I arrived. I also liked that you could pay with cash literally down to the penny. I ended up only buying two Arizona energy drinks with a bill under $2. I literally paid with change and thought that was pretty cool. It was also easy to look up my CVS rewards card. Ultimately, this is your basic CVS. It's good for the neighborhood, however, you'd be insane to drive out of the way to get here. It's old school, quaint, incredibly worn, and yet likely doesn't get enough business to justify an upgrade. As this is an older location, accessibility issues would likely keep me from returning very often as there are simply too many better options around. However, for local needs it's just fine.

It's our neighborhood CVS and I love its quaintness and convenience. It helps complete the neighborhood. If you're looking for an all-stops CVS, this probably isn't the location for you.

I get the impression that the employees at this pharmacy location do the minimum. They don't ask whether or not your information should be updated or add a phone number. Also, their attitudes stink. One technician arguing with my husband that he has no prescriptions on his file and another technician verified he did have a prescription. Good grief. I have seen two pharmacists at this location, but the younger one is very nice and helpful.
