I love this bookstore! There is something special that small, local bookstores offer that is not only good when looking for a good read, but for the value they add to the community. I've bought books here off the shelf, gone to one book club discussion, and sometimes just stop in to browse for some stress relief. Cynthia, the owner, is a wealth of sincere knowledge and it is clear she loves what she does. This is one of the best curated book shops I've ever been to and if there's ever been anything they don't have, the help me to find it and get it in hand quickly. It is great for children and adults alike. This is my new favorite book store! I highly recommend it!

A wonderful local bookstore with a great selection for all ages. The owner is a delight, offering book suggestions, book clubs, and community connection events. If you are a reader, or have a friend or family member who enjoys reading - you will love MacArthur Books.

Such a sweet bookstore!! So cozy and adorable. Loved the book-themed gift options too. And they do gift wrapping! Found several gift options on my first visit and went to go back this week but they were randomly closed even though the neon window sign said "open" and I had checked their hours online but I went on their Instagram and apparently they were out of the office for a couple days for some reason. But anyway, can't wait to go back. Worth going out of the way to visit because of the awesome selection.

I love coming to MacArthur Books! I love that they give you the space to browse without feeling pressured but is there to answer any questions or help as soon as you need. You can really tell the amount of love and pride that goes into this store. My husband is just starting to get into reading and whenever we stop by to fuel my addiction, Cynthia remembers the book he talked with her about at our last visit and asks about it! She really cares about her customers.

The perfect independent bookstore! They have a great selection, especially for the size of a store. The staff is helpful, but never hovering— you can browse as long as you want without feeling pressured, but if you need to find something or want a recommendation, they have not steered me wrong yet. They can also order any book that they don’t have in stock. But they always have some interesting items on display that I otherwise wouldn’t find myself. Another huge plus is that they can do gift wrapping in the store while you wait— it always looks 1000 times better than when I try to do it myself. That service definitely motivates me to buy more books as gifts!

Who doesn't love a local bookstore? I have so much fun searching for new books to read as well as books for my kiddos. My daughter loves the children's area! I wish I got her name, but the bookseller was so nice and answered all of my questions. She was knowledgeable and you know she loves what she does. Can you find books cheaper on Amazon? Yes, BUT by going to MacArthur books, you are supporting a local bookstore! Added bonus: free cookies!!

I tend to get my books from the local library vs. buying them, but I love nothing more than browsing a bookstore - especially a LOCAL bookstore. Thrilled to see MacArthur books open in the Village of West Clay! It's a small but mighty shop, packed with best sellers, all the typical genres/sections you'd find in a larger bookstore, and an adorable children's room/section. Plus, they have great gifts for book lovers - think coffee mugs, bookmarks, stickers, etc.

Gosh! I stumbled upon the cutest book store while walking around the neighborhood! Such a lovely store with customized notes for each of the top few books.I just went in to check the store out and I was amazed at the variety of options the store had for bibliophiles. Reading pins, bookmarks, journals, Biblo tracking books you name it - everything under one roof!I ended up not purchasing anything cause I wanted to spend more time and scour end to end so I will be going back this week and update pictures, added details.Must visit - a bibliophiles haven!!!

They do an amazing job of curating their collection. Every time I go here I leave with at least 3 new amazing books and a couple more added to my to-read list for later. I have found so many good books here for myself and for gifts.
