Wanted simple questions answered about cat food. After searching for a bit, there was someone cleaning the cages . We asked if she was busy she said give her a couple minutes. Next thing we know we’ve been ignored and she’s helping someone else. Turns out she’s the manager. We’re both black women and they were two white people. Hopefully this didn’t have anything to do with it.

If I could give no stars I would. Purchased a breaded dragon tank for my daughter for Christmas. The light bulb was burnt out. So took in to a different Petco closer to my house and they exchanged the bulb. The next day the bulb went out again. So we took the light kit that came with tank to this store to have them swap out. They would not do. They said we had to bring the whole kit in. Which means taking the breaded dragon and all the items purchased out. Mind you we drove 40 mins there and then back home twice. When all she needed to do was take the light kit out of a different kit and swap out. The manager Heather was very unprofessional. Even told me I was trying to scam them because I exchanged 2 days in row. Even after just explaining it wasn’t an exchange for the kit but just the light bulb. After talking to customer service they said she should have just took the kit out and exchanged and not have us undo the whole 40 gallon habit for the breaded dragon. I will never give any of my business to any Petco again. I also will be returning the extra 200 worth of items purchased back and taking my daughter to pick out elsewhere.

pretty disappointed in my experience with my service dog today. Me and my friend brought our dogs for a training session, where an employee who self identified as a manager told us we couldn’t train in the store. when i informed him that she is a service dog he then switched gears and told me i couldn’t train her off leash (she had a traffic lead on), when i told him she can as a leash interferes with her tasks he walked off. then i was approached by a different employee who also said i couldn’t work her off leash. she tried to argue that she has to be actively tasking to be off leash (untrue), this then raised my heartrate, i now will have to deal with the effects of this for the rest of my day until i can sleep. we were also followed around the store by employees who from my perspective seemed to be “watching” us. i expected pet store workers to be more knowledgeable on the laws but..

This is the best Petco by far in the Indy area! I am a 70 year old disabled woman with a bunch of rescues, one of which is a whopping 103lbs. The staff (Caleb, Jeanna and their manager Mindy) went out of their way to help me get my lab/gsd mix in and out of his grooming appointment, helped me get a better collar to prevent him from dragging me as he was, put on the collar and walked him to my van for me. And the grooming staff was spectacular (Danny and Talia)! My two dogs got the best haircuts and grooming services ever!! They have such a helpful and attentive staff in every way possible at this Petco. I will only go to this Petco at 10025 N. Michigan Rd. in Carmel from now on!!!

I went here to buy stuff for my newly adopted cat (Turducken) and Lyndsey was an amazing help!!! So knowledgeable and friendly!! Will probably come here in the future for whatever I need. :))

Booked a appointment for grooming on March 29 @1pm. Complete waste of time, just as I was leaving the young lady at the counter started checking for matting at my dog's hair, I casually mentioned that the only thing she had was a small knot behind the ear. Without even taking a look at she said that she could not wash my dog. This was not extensive, it was a small 1/4 inch knot far from my dog's skin. To add insult to injury she starting saying nonsense of how that could affect circulation and cause pain...a complete disgrace, I will not go there again nor give Petco my business again.
