River Heritage Park, established in 1998-1999, is a versatile 40-acre outdoor space that offers something for everyone. Visitors can enjoy relaxing walks through scenic wooded areas that lead to the White River, providing a peaceful escape into nature. The park features a large, modern playground with fun equipment such as a zipline, swings, slides, and handicap-accessible play features, making it a great spot for children of various ages. The paved hiking trail, made with rubberized surface similar to a high school track, ensures a mud-free experience even when wet, perfect for family walks and wear out the kids. The park is also equipped with sand volleyball courts and a spacious, rentable shelter with grills, ideal for gatherings and events. Its clean and well-maintained grounds include picnic tables free of webs and insects, and a boardwalk area through the trees adds to its charm. Though some playground structures are better suited for older children, the park's overall layout is engaging and scenic. Visitors often find the park to be less crowded and very clean, making it a hidden gem among local parks. With its blend of natural beauty, recreational facilities, and peaceful atmosphere, River Heritage Park is a charming place for family fun and outdoor relaxation.
Our favorite park! My grandson is 3 1/2 and he especially loves the zipline on the pathway. In fact, he loves all equipment on that pathway.

Its a newer playground, lots of fun things for my son to play on. A zipline and fully paved hiking trail, well paved may be the wrong word its the rubberized stuff like at a high school track. No mud when its wet.
