First time dining here and the food was great. We sat in a trolley car as we ate and ended with ice cream. Recommend early dinner if you had kids but would be a great date spot for those without the kids as well.

I love the spaghetti factory, usually we have a great experience but our last visit was awful. I made a reservation two days prior and the service was terrible. They sat us at a table that was not presentation-ready. They never asked or gave us refills for our drinks. The server had too many tables in our area and was focused on the larger parties verses serving us. We had to ask for our bread which they forgot twice and then later brought it out AFTER we received our main course. When they brought the ice cream, they forgot spoons and we then had to wait 15 min. before getting them after asking. The server was real quick to take our payment though. I am very disappointed in the Carmel management at this location. Was looking forward to a great experience to take my parents to after they came into town to visit, but that is not at all what we received.

Server yelled across our table of 13 at one end to take orders and us passed food down to each other so many people handling food. She was Not a professional server at all.Kid-friendliness: It's a kid environment with kid menu.

How is this place in business? Bartender quit during our visit. Food took 2 hours. Staff complained the entire time. Food was fazolis level.

This is hard for me to establish, however, the past 3 services have been an extreme let down. Do not get me wrong the head waiter and the upfront manager did an amazing job correcting mistakes but the food and quality of our normal waiter/waitresses have gone extremely downhill and not up to par of what I know spaghetti factory to be. I get the same thing near every time, lasagna, Ceasar salad and ice cream. The past few times the Ceasar salad has tasted extremely sour, the lasagna has tasted like wet rubber with watered down sauce but the ice cream tasted great… but it’s ice cream so I would hope that of all things, that this would be fine. Our waiter/waitresses previous and the most recent have been extremely rude. Refills were provided by other staff, when selecting food we were cut off or given a tone in an annoying manner that seemed as if though they were angry we were asking questions about what we were getting. When food came out we didn’t receive everything or not what we had asked for. Again, the front end staff and manager did amazing correcting mistakes but they should not of had to. I understand one offs but this is three times of consistently bad food and abnormal waiting staff service. It is a shame as my wife and I grew up loving their food and the experience but as long is it remains this way we will no longer be eating at this location.

If you love Italian, this is your place! One of my favorites from Lasagna to Spaghetti and more. You can walk right in without reservations most of the time. They even have a Trolley Car in the restaurant, nice touch!Parking: close to the building

Ate there last night a truly awful experience. Got there before the rush, barely anyone in the place and it still took 2 hours to get our food. Over an hour for the appetizers. No sign from any management on the floor, servers had too many tables. They blamed it on the kitchen but the other reviews point to this being a chronic issue. Food came out obviously having sat in the warmer too long with hard dried out pasta. Italian cream soda may have been the worst drink I’ve ever had, tasted like a fountain soda that ran out of syrup. Honestly you are going to get better food at Olive Garden…

Waited over 20 minutes during practically no foot traffic to even have the waitress take drink orders or even come introduce herself, which never happened. Other people were sat and orders taken during this time. Abysmal service. Go to Noodles & Co. down the road for a better experience.

We had a late lunch after a very tiring and concerning medical appointment. So late that we didn't realize that they closed between lunch and dinner! They were kind and served us anyway! And so beautifully ! Our server seated us at a charming small seating by the window that was perfect and restful. (And close to the bathrooms) We have loved Downtown Spaghetti Factory since it"s beginning but this was only our 2nd visit to this beautiful Carmel location. Our food was perfect! My salad was cold and crisp on a chilled plate. My favorite, their spaghetti combo with clam sauce and brown butter and mizithra cheese was so delicious with the pasta perfectly aldente! My husband loved his meat lover's pasta with sauce, meatballs, and sausage. Our server helped me choose a small pasta that was easier for him to eat. She shared that she had been with the Downtown branch for I think she said over 13 years and then here for 3. Her history showed in the care that she gave us before she had to leave to go "get her babies off the bus!!" We really appreciated her! All in all it was a perfect choice for everything that we needed on that day!

I live very close to this restaurant and have tried multiple times. The service is consistently terrible. Tonight my party spent nearly 3 hours at the restaurant, we waited 15 minutes to place our drink orders and nearly 30 until we got our drinks. In the other 2 and a half hours we spent at the restaurant, the majority was spent waiting and looking for the non existent service. No napkins, no spoons, empty glasses, piles of plates between courses that were never cleared. Insult to injury was not a single apology or acknowledgement of the situation. This was not a one off experience, nor were we alone in this experience as others in the restaurant were clearly as irritated as we were. I won’t be back.
