Pavey's Grocery is a great little stop and shop with a shockingly varied selection. It has everything from a deli and fresh foods to snacks, drinks, household supplies, and toys. The hot food is great, featuring the best fried mushrooms and the best tenderloin in the state, along with incredible strawberry cheesecake snack bowls. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. The store has a small town feel and a clean bathroom. Some note it closes early in the evening, and there is mention of town drama and a loose claw machine. Overall, it is an awesome pit stop that saves a trip to town.

Sold, New owners now, it's a little different than it was, they have VAPES and is now 24/7, which is a big plus for Carthage.

This place has the best fried mushrooms! They are the amazingly good. The pork tenderloin is a must have as well. They have a good selection of groceries. All of the staff have been friendly and kind. I do not live local so I appreciate their making me fresh fried mushrooms when they are out.
