I'm satisfied with everything EXCEPT the fact that DSB will not accept an Indiana Small Estate Affidavit that is used when there is no trust or estate with a deceased person to cash checks! I was told in order to cash a check of my deceased mother that I had to have an estate account setup???So with this happening, I will be closing my checking account tomorrow & CHASE bank has given me free checking & accepts this form with no issues what-so-ever & has cashed every check I've brought in!Someone should really check into this matter, it doesnt seem logical by any means to deny a state form required by the state to cash checks in this situation...its become a deal breaker in my case!(An Indiana small estate affidavit is used to gather the assets of a person who has died and left behind an estate worth less than $100,000. The affidavit cannot be filed earlier than forty-five (45) days after the date of death and must be signed in front of a notary public. The small estate affidavit provides a simplified method of handling a small estate without having to go through the probate process.)
