I can only give 3 stars because of the following:
1. Movers were not on time 2. They were inexperienced and lacked any basic tools with them (remove a doorknob) 3. They ran over time bc of lack of experience.4. Part of sofa had legs removed and was placed directly on grass causing soil. Thankfully I had my own moving quilt and asked the movers to place on it.
This company takes a $75 booking fee which is not refunded with invoice after move.
This was a simple move, just moving a few pieces of furniture from lower level to main floor. Three items were moved to garage.
I was truly dissapointed in the experience.

Over-promise, under-deliver. Original arrival time for the move was 9:30am. On the day of the move, at 7:30am, Hoosier Movers texted and changed the arrival time to around 3pm the following day. That later changed again to 1pm but back to the original day. That later changed again until 7:00am next day. We ultimately scrambled and made alternative arrangements. If scheduling is this unreliable how trustworthy would the physical move been?

This company was a blessing! Not only are they a smaller business which I like but they were super professional and went above and beyond for us. We had 2 storage units that needed to be moved into our new house and everything was stressing me out about it. They took so much weight off my shoulders. They are priced very fair. Other companies wanted to charge close to 3K. The communicated promptly. They were super easy to talk to and communicate with.
They took very good care of all my belongings and put them exactly where I wanted them. I’ve never used movers before and they were everything and more that I could have wanted to see/have. If I could give them more stars I would! Thank you

This company is a 10/10. They are professional,reasonably priced. The communication was on point. We had two very polite young men that worked extremely hard and got it done in 3 hours. I can not express my gratitude enough for the help gentlemen. I HIGHLY recommend this company!! Thank you Stephen for your help.

Hoosier movers are the best out there. Stephen and his guy’s did an OUTSTANDING JOB! They are thoughtful polite gentleman that are hard working and take exceptional care of your personal items. He went above and beyond to make our move happen on schedule and with nothing being broken or scratched for an 800 mile cross country move. His price beat any other company by thousands and quality was not sacrificed in any way. I greatly recommend them!

My husband and I moved from Michigan City, Indiana to Raleigh, North Carolina. Stephen and his team are amazing! They drove over 12 hours non-stop so we didn’t have to wait a week or more as we would with other companies. His price was thousands less than we were quoted from anyone else. The team was polite and went out of their way to make our move easy. I definitely recommend Hoosier Movers!

When my wife and I hired this company to move us we told them that we have a one bedroom apartment king size bed sofa loveseat and 30 boxes so we thought that we would see them on our move date pulling up in at least a medium box truck.oh no they pull up in a pickup truck with a small trailer. We told them that it would not all fit they said it would. But it didn't so they had to make 2 trips. They said that tye price would be between $420--$560.Now if they had come in a box truck then it would have been 1 trip and $420 witch would have been nice but instead we had to pay them $ 530 witch we had to go back and forth with them because they wanted us to pay them hourly rate. Oh and just for his Argument we did not have the loveseat but a small chair and kitchen table with chairs they never asked us to give in detail every item! So not going to use them again and not recommend they were trying to smash boxes in between the chairs to make more room that takes longer and not exceptable we only had 20 boxes. Be careful when you hired anyone for anything..

I cannot express how much I recommend Stephen and his team at Hoosier Movers. They were awesome! I called this morning to get an estimate to move a nearly 250 year old antique desk from downtown Chesterton to my house. They were professional, courteous, fast and even arranged to move the item the same day. They made sure the desk was very secure and took great care in moving it. Very affordable!
