“Doctor Reed has been my vet for over 32 years. We contacted him on Monday June 6th because our dog dream girl what's not doing well she was having a hard time breathing she didn't eat for 2 days days and she wouldn't move she's 12 years old. We left a message at the office at 3 o'clock....The call wasn't returned until the office was closing at 553. And it was a text not even a call.i pleaded for someone to call I needed help I was afraid she was dying. We could not wait for there call so we call Dr Mahaffey in Valpo he advised us to go to Coyne Clinic in portage . Dr reed has all the medical history on dreamgirl he did surgery on her 9 months ago for kidney stones.... I trust Dr reed..I needed him to tell me what to do. I stand behind Dr Reed 100% however his system for returning calls for help is unacceptable.... I was told afterwards that his office is not an emergency clinic .I just needed a call back to tell me what to do... he is my vet... it was during office hours I needed him .....I read other reviews on this site and they complain about the customer service .so I am asking DR Reed to look into this matter about returning calls when people ask for help....I even asked the office to have Dr Reed call me..I hope he does. Dreamgirl died last night June 7th at home at about 730 at night after being treated on June 6th for possible heart disease at Coynn clinic...

The above review was written in 2021...I am very happy to report that Dr Reed has upgraded his telephone service and calls are handled more efficiently right after that review....you will recieve a text right after you leave a message if your call cannot be answered. They take all your information and within minutes you will get a response.. thank you Dr Reed for caring ..you are the best....”

“Just did our first time boarding after years of grooming. We are thrilled to have such an amazing option for our pups to get quality care at affordable prices. Some of these local places want the same amount of the vacation just to watch your dogs. Finally the fact that Maggie was willing to from our dogs and have them ready for pick up on a holiday is just rare customer service you see in today's world. She does a phenomenal job grooming our retrievers and truly cares about her job! I hope Pet Haven takes good care of her because she is an amazing asset to their facility. I also love that I can take my kids in and let them see/hold/touch critters and not just look behind the glass. Ken is great if you have a salty tank. He's extremely knowledgeable and the only local source I would recommend for beginners to get interested in the hobby. Over all this is a fantastic lil gem tucked away down the rural part of 6. It's a fun stop to see what they have or if you need any animal services.”

“I took my puppy there today to get her some toys. She had a blast! The workers and other customers were so nice. My puppy still pees when she gets excited and the girl who cleaned up after her was so sweet. She even got treats at the checkout counter. I highly recommend this store!”

“I adopted my cat, Sterling from Independent Cat Society. I got him 4 years ago as a rescue. Everyone is so welcoming and the adoption process was very thorough. They truly want their cats to go to a safe Forever Home. Such a great place to donate to.”

“My corgi has to eat a special diet and this store is the only place nearby that sells, and usually continuously has in stock, the brand and flavor my dog needs. Staff has been very helpful when we go in. I asked suggestions on their toys and the woman that was working seems to have used them all with her pets and gave me great input. I opted to get a more expensive toy than I originally grabbed and was not disappointed in my selection. I love they take their time to help customers as much as possible.”

“Aubrey did a very good job on my poodle. He does not have the best hair since I dye it frequently. ? and I do not do a very good job grooming him myself. She always asks about them and is very excited to see my pets. Thank you Aubrey!”

“This one is pretty good for reptiles now. They used to be worse but the employees know what they are doing now and have the supplies. I got a leopard gecko from this location. At first I just went there for supplies for a leopard gecko from a different pet store but when I saw the leopard geckos were nice and healthy and had healthy looking tails I just got one there. She is thriving now and healthy I'm still taming mine but that's usual when you get a young reptile that hasn't been handled.”

“I went in for bedding and maybe a cat tower depending on price. I saw they had one on sale from $179 to $149 for members. However, it expired on June 1 and it was June 3rd. I stopped an employee by the name of Lauren asked if they would honor it even though it's past the first, told her I understand if they can't. So she told me to check Petco online because they price match. So I did and it was actually even cheaper online than in store! Along with my 20% coupon for my Total sale I ended up saving $109! I was super appreciative! Also without even having to ask another lady employee offered to help me get my tower into my car cause there was no way I could lift it on my own. Definitely 5/5 for satisfaction of product, service, and price!”

“We got our golden retriever puppy from The Puppy Emporium, and she has been the absolute best addition to our family! The whole process was so easy and stress free. The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and they let us bring our 2 year old in to see how they’d do together, which meant a lot to us. Our vet gave her a clean bill of health, and we were given all the paperwork showing she came from a real breeder, including her breeder’s vet check and AKC paperwork with her dam and sire. You can really tell they care about where their puppies come from and making sure they go to the right homes. Buying from The Puppy Emporium was honestly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We couldn’t be happier!”

“This is the best place for grooming! I have taken my very big Australian shepherd to many places and haven’t been happy and over charged. The smoothie pooch in crown point is the best. They listen and take care of you. My groomer/stylists Melissa was great! She did an amazing job on my Ollie. You can tell she took her time her with him.”
