I am very displeased with this company. My son bought a jeep and when he left the dealership it was not running properly. He went right back and they worked on it and it ran good. A week or so later a sensor went out and he had to spend 250.00 on it. Then last week he was driving in town and the ball joint broke and now he’s has to spend 1300.00 on repairing it. They will not help him with that. So now he has to come up with 1300.00 dollars. He needed a reliable vehicle but has had nothing but trouble!! Thankfully he was in town when it broke down again. If he was out on the road he could have wrecked. No one in our family will ever buy a vehicle there again. I do not recommend them.

A family member got screwed by this place. He drove from Michigan to purchase a car. Brought in a big cash down payment because the Salesman insisted. He followed all the steps of purchasing a car after taking ownership of the car 3 weeks later hes informed that the bank didn't approve him for a loan and he needs to return the car. They later reported to police that the car was stolen resulting in a arrest of my cousin and his wife, and now they won't return the down payment.

First and foremost, I only gave them one star as a rating because I had too put up my review. They lied to me about the car I bought they charged me for a warranty I didn't want or ask for,as they sold me the car as is but I got the paperwork to prove it I'm suing them for mental anguish and suffering. Never buy anything from these liars save yourself your time and hard earned money they are sum bamboozler's !!!!! Sincerely Mr.Willis

They scam people. I looked a 06 Nissan. 244,000 on it. With a im not joking a 2 inch deep hole in the driver seat, foam was missing. And they still wanted 4K for it. Plus there are zero pictures online.

Must read! We recently traded our truck in for a Jeep on their lot. It was an agreement when we signed for the Jeep that it was to be fully serviced, the check engine light would be investigated and to fix odd and ends. When the Jeep was fully serviced it was mentioned to us the check engine light was a cam shaft sensor. The Jeep was given to us and we were told it would be okay to drive until the part came in. We drove a quarter of a tank and the light came back on along with the Jeep going into limp mode. My husband and I took the Jeep to the auto parts store and it was the catalytic converter. Barts requested us to help pay for the part when we took the paperwork from the auto parts store. As the Jeep was stuck in limp mode they sent it to Glenbrook dodge. After multiple days of not being updated we called Glenbrook Dodge and it was disclosed to us that it had extremely low oil pressure, bad timing chain and the engine needed to be replaced. If it wasn’t for us having warranty we would’ve had to pay out of our pockets for what they covered up. The dealership refused to let us back out of the deal and refused to buy the Jeep back. Bottom line I’m sure they’re are many vehicles on their lot “serviced” but need a new engine or something major so I highly recommend DO NOT buy from this dealership. The manager even told us his boss wouldn’t speak with us either!

my boyfriend bought car “one-owner” car from them, everything was fine till he pulled into our driveway and the check engine light came on. so we took it to a mechanic and was told our warranty doesn't cover the fuel pump. barts sold him a warranty that we can’t locate anywhere in the companies system and they are ignoring my boyfriend.. don’t buy a car from here.

My husband and I went to Barts Car store in Columbia City to support the local business instead of going to one of the bigger dealerships. That was my first mistake. Andrew Dickel was our salesman and took care of us very well, so this review in no way reflects on his character. However, our customer service from all other aspects were as bad as they could be. When we were looking at trucks on their car lot, we were shown a recent truck that had just been brought it and still needed detailed/general maintenance. We saw that truck, took it on a test drive and decided we wanted to buy it, with the exception of the items that needed fixed. Those items were listed by Andrew, but apparently the official signed document didn’t state any of the issues that needed to be fixed. That was my second mistake. Considering this was my first truck purchase without my dad (who knew better and knows the ways of car sales). However, I figured, since we had discussed what needed to be fixed on the truck for us to buy it, it would get fixed. We proceeded to sign papers and buy the truck trusting Bart’s would fix everything we listed. We took that truck in THREE SEPARATE TIMES and still the issue was not fixed. One of those times they stated the issue was resolved, we had to jumpstart the truck because it didn’t even start. After their shop was unable to resolve the issue, we took it to our local repair shop where they quickly determined what the issue was, but we had to pay out of pocket because it wasn’t repaired at Barts, and because the agreement we had for Barts to fix it, wasn’t listed on the “official documents” only on a separate piece of paper. Stay far away from Barts car store because they will take advantage of your ignorance. They’re only in it for the profit and couldn’t care less for their customers.

I don't normally write reviews of businesses, and I don't want to be writing this one, but I guess I have to. I bought a car from Bart's Car Store on 1/21/2023 and did not realize until a week later that the final sale price of the vehicle was changed during the buying process without me noticing. The website price, which I discussed with Brandon was $20,999 and was definitely entered on the paperwork shown to me at his desk. At some point that morning, the price had changed to $22,999 on the final contract. I did not notice this, and signed the paperwork at the finance person's desk. I admit it is my responsibility to read the contract I signed, but I did not expect the numbers to be changed from one desk to another. I found out when I signed in to the online account for the loan company and saw the amount financed was $2k higher than I expected.Attempts to contact Brandon have not been successful. Emails and phone calls have gone unreturned. Evidently they are unconcerned with fixing their "mistake". I don't expect a resolution, and have no proof (should have screenshotted the website listing), and will probably have to accept it as an expensive lesson. But maybe by writing this review someone else can be saved from receiving the same treatment. Buyer beware.

Bought a car from Barts in columbia city, IN. Have had nothing but trouble with it since we got it. Barts only option they offer is to get me into a new car with double my monthly payments. When I told then about the issue and it going to the shop a couple times they told me my mechanic is not fixing it right try taking it to a bigger mechanic. I know they are not responsible once I've purchased the vehicle but I've had company take a look at vehicles and try to fix them. Will not buy another car from here. My father has also had a lot of issue with hospital car from the same dealership.

Big red flag here!!! Sold us a truck that turned out to be undriveable because of a rusted and cracked frame. Another shop wouldn't repair an unrelated issue because they felt the car should not be on the road. When trying to work with the dealer, we were put off with a "gotta get ahold of the manager," and the promise of a call before 5. They are unresponsive to texts, emails, and hung up once they knew what it was about. We were not rude, angry or demanding in any way, and our concerns have been completely ignored!

Ryan Brandt was a very no BS kind of salesman. He was patient and walked around the lot with me until I found what is now my favorite truck I’ve owned.I’ve had quite a few vehicles in my life. If you want an honest person that won’t lie to you about what you’re getting, go see him. You won’t be disappointed.

I had my truck appraised for a trade. I found a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. The difference between my trade and the SUV I was looking at was more than I wanted to spend. No problem. That happens. I browsed their website and found another truck in the right price range. I had already looked at it earlier in the day and knew it was in good physical condition. I called in and told them that I wanted to make a deal on the truck. They pulled up my trade and the truck I was looking at, threw me some numbers and I agreed to the deal. The guy said that the keys to my new truck were missing. They would get a new key made and call me when it was ready. I could head down, hand over my keys, title and cash and be on my way. Several hours later, he called and told me that they decided that they over valued my trade and would be offering me $6,000 less for it than the original offer. So if I wanted the truck I would need to bring an additional $6,000 to make the deal. Keep in mind that they had no access to my trucks in the interim, so it isn't like they suddenly discovered some issue that they didn't already know about Basically, they found out that I was in a bind needing to get a truck for hauling and thought they could rob me for extra money. Absolutely an unbelievable joke. I will be utilizing a huge amount of time making sure the world knows what scumbags the people at Bart's are. Whether it's violating the verbal contract, going back on their word or just being generally dishonest, this store should never be patronized by anyone, ever, under any circumstance.

I had to buy a new(used) vehicle because of someone else's lack of driving skills. So after a week and a half of rather intenst research, I found my replacement SUV. This beauty was very well maintained and in great shape. Thanks to Ryan and the rest, I have zero regrets of purchasing this vehicle from Bart's Car Store in Columbia City. And would happily do it again if the need arose.
