“I hope Lowes in Columbus Indiana realizes what an asset they have working in the Flooring dept. I have visited this store several times last week picking up needed supplies for our remodel. This isn't my area of expertise so I was lost. Chris approached me right away and helped me pick out the perfect flooring, also, the needed supplies to install it. He was so knowledgeable and explained everything and never made me feel rushed. My husband and I returned a few days later needing paint. The associate in that dept was on lunch. Chris came to the rescue once again and was just as knowledgeable about paint. I've never had such a wonderful experience and will be getting all our remodel supplies at this store! Menards is much closer but I could never get help and when I would track down an associate, they had no clue about how to help me. I will drive passed Menards with a smile on my way to Lowes! Thank you Chris!”
“You can find odd things at Menards that you don't always expect from a home improvement store. I like going in just to see what they are carrying different from time to time.”
“Great Design Process, Uneven Execution
I contracted In Style Kitchen and Bath for a tiled bathtub project, and the initial design phase was quite smooth. I appreciated their ideas and the ease of the planning. However, the cost was a bit higher than other quotes I received, leading me to expect top-notch quality across the board.
Unfortunately, the project felt somewhat disjointed. In Style appears to operate by contracting out different aspects of the job to various subcontractors. While some of these individuals did excellent work, the quality was inconsistent. This approach also gave the impression that In Style didn't fully own the project, as each subcontractor seemed to handle their piece independently.
My biggest disappointment came with a mistake in the niche slope by the tile contractor. Instead of offering a solution, the company wanted me to shoulder the cost of fixing it, which felt unfair given the premium price point and mistake on the installer.
Overall, while the design process was positive, the inconsistent quality due to the reliance on multiple subcontractors and the lack of proactive project management left me feeling that In Style Kitchen and Bath did not live up to the initial expectations set by their name and pricing. The tile contractor made a mistake and left the niche with too much slope causing the bottles to slide off. This was such a disappointment.
Fortunately, in the end In Style agreed to have the tile contractor come and fix the mistake at no cost to us. Originally they wanted me to cover the repair cost for this mistake which made me very unhappy. I am glad that in the end it was resolved.”
