Comfortable, clean room. Great price point. Off interstate 65. Close to eateries. The reason for a 4 is because the room isnt fresh looking. It has carpet. The curtain is falling. Ample parking. Front desk clerk was professional.

Recently I attempted to use a free night stay voucher that I received as a gift. They would not honor the voucher because the sales person who dispersed them no longer worked there. It was supposed to be good until 12/31/2023. I wouldn't recommend this hotel-

I have been staying at this Sleep Inn for 4 years now. I stay one weekend every September. When I first started staying here it was a very nice hotel. Still a good buy for your money. But it has really gone downhill. Starting with the person who books groups. I know her name but will not mention it here. She was supposed to email confirmation numbers to us, and instead I guess she took off early for the weekend and left us hanging instead of following through with her responsibilities. Pretty poor service for a small group.4 years and a lot of changes. Beside the failure of management to follow through with their responsibilities the place has went in the wrong direction. Lights in the room had wires pulled out of the plugs, the TV wasn’t plugged in. The faucet in the bathroom was very hard to shut off all the way. The ice machine on the first floor doesn’t work. When I inquired about another ice machine I was told about the one on the second floor, and she commented the one on the first floor hasn’t worked for quite a while? Why?? Is is not fixable. I bet it is…..someone in management just needs to have it fixed. The over all rooms are just getting run down and they need to just do some maintenance. They just aren’t!!

Not a great value. We had a 2 queen suite with the sofa bed, and while it was a place to stay, it wasn't fantastic. The bedding was comfortable and new, but that's where the praise stops. The shower loudly dripped all night, and leaked onto the bathroom floor. There was also a small leak in the toilet supply hose, that resulted in water on the floor. The jacuzzi tub also dripped, so water had collected on the bottom and the drain was rusty. The air conditioner rattled loudly throughout the night, and was stuffed with dryer sheets. It smelled nice, but you have to wonder what other smell they are trying to cover up.The mirror was cracked, there was a sticky substance on the back of the room door and the blackout curtain had holes in it.Overall, the room needed attention and general maintenance needs to be done in the hotel. For instance, the outer security door near our room did not lock, and the side entrance was dirty and grimy. They also ran out of plates at breakfast, so people were unable to eat for a period of time.

If you're going to stay here I would highly suggest you get the top floor rooms. We were on the second floor and all night long we were kept awake by little kids running around in the room above ours. Then at 2:30 in the morning I think people got back from a bar or something cuz there was fighting and yelling and screaming. I tried calling down to the front desk but the phones didn't work. The room itself was very clean and the staff was okay. It was the noise that really brought this place down.

Only gave a 4 star because it's not a 4/5☆ hotel. But we had a great stay. Rooms were updated and felt clean. We had a nice pond view behind us. Didn't get the dirty vibe. Breakfast was waffles, Biscuits and gravy, eggs etc. Lots to choose from. We didn't use the pool but it looked big. The area is great. Not far off interstate and near waffle house and Starbucks if you really wanted that, as well as a burger place.

I don't believe I've ever felt strongly enough about a negative experience to leave a review for a business before, but I felt like it would be a disservice to future patrons not to pass along the painful experience I had with the Sleep Inn of Columbus, Indiana. My mother passed away in Florida, and with a burial site in Columbus we had her body transported to a local funeral home and I was tasked with lining up hotel rooms for my 87-year old father, myself, and another family member, coming in from Florida, Illinois, and California. As a Choice Hotel member I decided to go with that chain, and made online reservations for three rooms, two nights each at the Columbus, Indiana Sleep Inn & Suites. As travel plans became more solidified, a couple days later I contacted the Sleep Inn directly to ask if I could make an adjustment and have one of the rooms be reserved for only one night, with the other two rooms remaining reserved for two nights. I was told yes, and the change was made. Upon returning home from the funeral and looking over my credit card bill, I saw that the charge went through for all three rooms at two nights each. Assuming it was an oversight, I called the Sleep Inn and asked if they could make the correction. I was told I needed to speak with the General Manager, Paula, for that, and after a long while Paula came on the call. She informed me that my original reservation was non-refundable, and that she would not authorize any refund. I calmly explained how I had made the call to ask whether the reservation could be adjusted, and she responded that yes, it was Paula herself who took that call. Perplexed, I reminder her that I had asked if the change could be made and was told definitively, yes. Her answer was that a "change" could be made, but the charge would be the same. I asked, "Why would I call to make a change unless I was asking for the charge to also be changed? If the charge would not be changed, I would just check out early and not waste my time requesting a change." She started referring to me as "Sir," as people do when they want to distance themselves into cold professionalism in a conversation, and told me it was policy and that she could not override it (which of course I know to be not so). As someone who works with professionals and business leaders routinely, I respectfully asked her to consider that it is just good business to recognize that I had asked for a change, was told affirmatively one would be made, and to credit the unused night (especially given that I had still paid for five other room nights). She refused. I said, "Are you sure you want to do this to a club member, and to a grieving family whose purpose for being there at all was to lay to rest a family member?" She remained resolute in refusing to work with me. When I told her it was unfortunate that she would make that choice and risk losing a customer, as I do a lot of traveling and also know a lot of people who also travel and who I would feel compelled to let know of my experience, her response was that she "didn't appreciate being threatened." I didn't know that the provision of leaving reviews was now qualified as a "threat," but I suggested that she talk this over with a supervisor (I had to hope someone else would recognize and correct the the improper decision) and requested that she call me back after she had gotten the chance to do so. She said she would, which of course I doubted would happen and which call I have not received. I'll leave it to readers to discern whether this was appropriate decision-making and behavior on the general manager's and the company's part, but unfortunately, the experience only added to the personal difficulty of burying a loved one. I am saddened to say I cannot continue as a customer of the chain.

Love staying here, the staff is super polite and helpful, both Paula and Lindsay made sure I had everything I needed and Sara my housekeeper was on top of her game the whole stay. This is the only place I'll stay when I come into Columbus!

The staff was friendly and Kind. The Breakfast was good and had a great selection. The King bed was Clean and Comfortable. The fridge was clean and cold. Coffee all day long in the breakfast area. We got a 10% discount coupon to Texas Roadhouse. Yummy!Disliked · The place didn't live up to its high price for a room with a 200.00 deposit. We had a room with a sofa sleeper and jetted tub. Clearly, the furniture was very dusty and not clean. The sofa bed had powered makeup all along the bottom. Totally creeped us out!!! The room needed more cleaning. The indoor pool was COLD. BRRRR!!

For $169 this place is literally a hole in the wall. There was mold in the jacuzzi jets and controls. Mold on the ceiling, the ceiling was falling in from a leak I assume was the bathroom upstairs. The towel rack was rusted, the refrigerator wobbled, the furniture was missing pieces (chipped) and nasty. See pictures I do not recommend.

If I could give a 1/2 of a star then I would. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. I would not recommend this to someone I hate. We had scheduled 2 day stay for an entire team for a baseball tournament. We found out on the Sunday before that we would not be playing on Friday and did not need the 2 days. Tried everyday to cancel and had zero success. Then I FINALLY got ahold of Paula and she said they could cancel the one day only the entire reservation. Even though other people had done so. Then they cancel it and guess who is left without a room. Had to go stay at another hotel away from the team. Some experience. Will never stay at this Sleep Inn again in my life. All because of Paula. Do not ever go to this hotel.
