I’ve been with Allstate for many years and had my insurance set up on autopay for over 5 years with the same bank account without any issues. Now their billing department “couldn’t find” the account and canceled my policy without informing me. No one informed me of this issue until 3 weeks later. Now this error from their billing department (which multiple employees have confirmed was NOT my error), my rates have doubled for car insurance because of my lapse in coverage. Their corporate rep called me and refused to solve this problem although they too admitted it was a clerical error from their billing department.
