Today we serviced my 2001 F150 (with about 200K miles).
The problem addressed was non functioning tail lamps.
It was not easy to arrange this service, because I have moved from Columbus and had to come from a distance. Many problems need more than one day to solve here, but R and K was willing to tackle this problem during my one day trip.
During service, the circuit panel fuse was replaced but repeatedly burned out. A problem in the circuit was traced to the rear tail lamp assembly, where improper wiring was identified and corrected. (I don’t know when this wiring problem was introduced; the problems below did not all start at once.)
Several other problems were solved when this change was made.
These are: cruise control; instrument panel night illumination; both rear backup lamps; driver door chime; and front parking lamps.
I have successfully utilized this business for service on my vehicles multiple times over the past 20 plus years, during my residence in Columbus. The present team continues in the tradition of the original proprietor, who was an aged, salty, and capable individual indeed. I do suggest that others consider bringing their work here.

They're helping me figure out what in the world is wrong with my Dodge. It blew 2 #2 coil packs, within 20 minutes of each other. So it was recommended to take it to RK Auto Electric. So far they've been great on trying to find out what in the world is wrong with this truck, will let y'all know how awesome everything turns out after I get it back

Great one day service to install wiring for back up camera on my dual hinge Honda Ridgeline. Donny did a great job running and hiding the wiring.

Dishonest company. They bought a cluster from us on ebay then fixed a customer's car with it. Then returned the broken one back to us with a forced ebay return. Extremely Dishonest and should be avoided at all cost.

I talked to them Tuesday because Honda dealership diagnosed my car with a bad high pressure fuel pump to see if they did this along with a long honey do list for my vehicle. They got the part ordered and had me ready to drop it off by Thursday morning. My car was dropped off near 845, they were done by 1130. Saved me quite a bit of money from dealership shop. My car hasn’t ran this quiet it months. Very easy to work with, affordable, quick, and efficient. Only way it could have gone better is if they decided to fill my gas tank 🤣. Will be taking all my needs here that they’re able to do for me. They also sent some recommended shop information for the other problems with my vehicle that they weren’t able to take care of.

RK Auto had my car for a few days trying to diagnose a very intermittent misfire issue. They kept me up to date as they worked through the diagnosis. While the root cause was not pinpointed due to the intermittency of the issue, we discussed appropriate options to move forward. I never felt like they were pushing for extra cost/repairs.
I ended up ordering some parts online and RK Auto installed them within hours of dropping them off, and so far the misfire and associated fault codes are gone.
When I went to pay, the cost was surprisingly low for the time they spent working on my car.
I was impressed with their prices and transparency. I will certainly be going back for future work.

Great shop with Good people, always works me in in a pinch with reasonable rates. It is getting harder and harder to find a good shop that specializes in electrical work. They are truly one of the best.

Outstanding job on my tractor starter. He knows electrical. I prefer them to rebuild my original with his quality parts than get a cheap China look alike.
