April was SO helpful. Not only did she recommend great products but gave me amazing recommendations to get rid of my fruit fly infestation. Can’t thank her enough. If I have to go to a hardware store, this will be the one I go to.

i can't believe i drove all around crown point and merrillville looking for a torx screw and screwdriver to screw it in with, and none of these women who actually run lake county have the vaguest idea what i'm talking about. to think the guy at mavis recommend this place. everything is under lock and key, and not a soul in sight. they really should've hired me...i at least wouldn't have let a guy like me walk in and out of that building unchallenged... i'm leaving awful reviews up and down town on this website because it's time for lake county to get rid of this feminism and start hiring/training people who want to make a difference in this world.

It is possible that my expectations are unrealistic. With that, I was having trouble with the string head on an EGO weed wacker. I explained that I was using it and that it belonged to my son in law. I was taking care of their dogs. I just wanted someone who was knowledgeable about the product. I thought they could verify that, yep, I was doing it correct, or not. Two people tried to help, and neither knew anything about any of it. One asked if I brought the manual? Nice people, but you would think places might teach their people some basics of the various features?

A nice change from wandering aimlessly around Lowe's or Home Depot looking for an item. The guys there were very helpful and I found what I needed in about 5 minutes.
