My medication was out of stock Where my insurance is in network. This pharmacy had my medication But my insurance is not in network. I was going to use a good RX coupon but I was told that they can't fill my prescription. Because i'm not in network and I can't use the coupon. So they refused to fill the prescription.

. Sherri was so rude to me. I simply called to ask a few questions about a medication in stock. She was short and snippy. I called the cvs in Gary after, and the tone of the pharmacist tech was so much nicer. I would recommend going elsewhere.

I have asthma and went for a RSV vaccine, so I was wearing my N-95 mask. An elderly lady awaiting a Covid test was in the Pharmacy waiting area. Why couldn't she just have been left into the Immediate Care waiting area? Less exposure for a few people.

The pharmacy is understaffed, this can be a heavy volume of customers store. It's not the employees fault but they need help in my opinion.

Pharmacy here is awful. Has to be the worst around. You receive notifications that your script is ready, but you drive over there and their fridge is always breaking down so your prescription goes in the trash and you have to come back - they tell you to come back "tomorrow" and you go back and its now not going to be ready for days. The customer service at this store is horrible too. Very unfriendly staff. Try calling to actually speak to a human and its not just a hassle, its waiting, waiting, waiting because they don't answer the phone - what a joke.

My son had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed. The oral surgeon prescribed hydrocodone but CVS did not have it when I called to see how long it would take to be filled. I called the dentist and she sent in Tramadol as a replacement. I called CVS and the same rude guy answered the phone after I waited 20 minutes for someone to answer. Mr.Rude (older male) said I needed prior authorization before he could give me the medication. I called the dentist back and she said to pay cash instead of going through the insurance. I called CVS back and Mr. Rude (older male) answered the phone again and said I can’t pay cash for the medication. I called back and spoke to another person that works in the pharmacy and she said, she would run it through as cash and the medication would be ready in an hour for my son. This was the final straw for me. I’m having my family’s medications transferred to Walgreens. This incident occurred July 1, 2023 at 9:41pm

There is one pharmacist (male) don't know his name, but he gave me a hard time. It was clearly unnecessary, just asked for some information.

I stop there nearly every morning and am greeted happily by April or Nicole. I stop there because I enjoy the atmosphere and the employees. I could very easily stop elsewhere on my way to work but prefer CVS!

Some of the workers are nice, however, CVS is about to lose a lot of business. Out of the blue with no warning, they stopped taking BCBS of Illinois insurance which so many people have in NWI. I have been denied even buying my medication no insurance with prescription coupons which I have done before. If you have mental health issues like myself, use a more reliable pharmacy. I have done nothing but spiraled since I have been fighting with them for almost 2 weeks no meds. God forbid it was insulin or anything else that I required to live I was being denied for. So keep that in mind before going to CVS, and if you have Blue Cross, Blue Shield go to Walgreens or Meijer.

My rating is strictly based on the pharmacy. Very disappointing a mix up of stores takes me an entire day on vacation to resolve. Their latest answer they can't help me without providing a store number of one of their own stores. Seriously??? You can't look in your system especially after telling me 5 hours before it was handled. This attitude of not my job is out of control and ridiculous.
