The older employee that wears glasses and long blonde/gray hair is rude and seems like she does not like African Americans. I’ve shop here multiple times and have witnessed her unprofessional unpleasant attitude. Because of her I will never go to this location again. There is one 3 minutes away. I will pass this one just not to EVER deal with the terrible customer experience I had.

I shopped at this location and found what I needed. The customer service was great. In fact I have shopped at different stores for years and I like buying good products ❤️❤️❤️Thanks Dollar General!!!

Had the worst experience at this store. Employee named Beth (grey hair and ponytail) was so rude to me. I was trying to shop for Christmas items as she is stocking in front of me not acknowledging that she is in my way- not saying excuse me which is all I ask for. Other employees were doing this and being very kind. After a few minutes of dealing with this I finally say "excuse me" and she turns and laughs at me. So I laugh back and she continues stocking. Now I am checking out in self checkout and ask another employee about an item. He did not know if they carry it so he turns to her and asks. She is polite and answers the question and I continue checking out. Until she makes her way around the counter and scolds me for having more than 7 items in my basket for self checkout. At this point I tell her she should have mentioned something while she was watching me ring the items up and not when I'm over halfway through my transaction already. She physically takes my items from me and says I cannot check out there. I have to move to another register. As I am telling her that I just want to finish my sale she ignores me and starts speaking with another customer. I move to that register and need an item voided out which the employee ringing me out could not do. She comes over and starts giving me an even harder time at this point I just replied "I don't want to purchase any of these items now you can void out the whole sale" and I walked out. My partner came in the store shortly after this happened to purchase a few things and overheard Beth complaining to the other employee about me as they were holding up the line and not ringing customers out. Terrible experience. Will never come back here as long as she has a job at this location.

This store has really turned into a disorganized dump. Aisles are cluttered everywhere. I am speaking about the dollar general in merrillville on 93d ave. Google shows it in crown point, which is wrong.

This store has decreased in customer satisfaction. They close early, hardly ever at the closing time. If the employees don't want to stay until closing time, please find new employees. I used to count on Dollar General for a late night run, however, that's not the case anymore. I will do my business at the other Crown Point location that closes at the posted times. I can count on them!

Dirty store, never have stock. It’s embarrassing that the store is located in Crown point and it’s so dirty. I’d rather shop at the one in Merrillville on 61st and and Taft, it’s cleaner and they’re more helpful, and they have stock

When you advertise your hours and then don’t open, it causes unnecessary gas and time for customers. I was there 30 minutes after the opening time and they weren’t open. No note on the door, and no one answered the phone.

Usually the people are great except the short haired lady was so rude because I seen a homeless man who walked out when I pulled up and he started walking in front of papa John's and I got out and asked if he was hungry and we went into the store and got 2$ worth of food and when I'm in the aisle she comes up to me and said there's no solicitations here or asking for money and I told her I asked him if he was hungry he wasn't even just standing there he was walking away. It looked like he didn't have enough money to get what he wanted so I asked him and even tried to buy him more, he's 19 living on the streets kept calling me sir as I asked him questions if people were there and she walked up and said that, it woulda been embarrassing I was just trying to help a person eat.... then at the register we really got into it and she was telling me it was her store and I cannot cuss in it cuz I admit I got really heated cause I come in almost daily and never had problems till her, I had to ask her 3 times who's in charge and she said might as well be me then she told me rosie is in charge, I love the rest of the staff but she has attitude problem and wanted to start things when we walked in she even said hi to us then waited till i was shopping to tell me how i can spend my money. I honestly think it was a race thing because he was black and I was white. So rosie I'd u see this, idk which lady u are but I get along with the rest and they know me well so rosie my name is Brian Burgess and I'd love to chat with you.

Remodel is done and they are open come see what it looks like, there is a lot to get use to so please don't take it out on the workers. And please remember to do a survey to help out the store.
