Well…I used to be a loyal customer. Michelle R. was my stylist and she was the best. She left some time ago, so I agreed to an appointment with the owner. I told her what I wanted, which was a simple, shoulder-length, layered cut, and razored at the ends. How did I walk out of there with a 1980s mom-style bowl cut? I felt like the Target Lady. I was so embarrassed - for my hair and for HER, that I just paid and left. Well I’ve gotten over the terrible haircut and thought maybe I’ll give them a try, just with another stylist after getting cheap cuts somewhere else. Unfortunately, unless you call between 8 and 3, Tuesday through Thursday only, you can’t get through to a receptionist. Great, because half the time when you DO call during those hours, nobody answers anyway. And they do NOT return messages. I won’t be back. It’s a shame. I went there for years.

I started going to Shear Magic in 1994 when I moved to Indiana. Debbie Morrison is an excellent Salon owner. She has a beautiful Salon & Spa. She's friendly and genuinely cares about all the clients. I learned today, 1/25/2022 when I called to reschedule my appointment that the Stylist that has been cutting & highlighting my hair for 27 years left to go to another Salon. I don't understand her lack of loyalty to the owner who gave her, her 1st job fresh out of beauty school. I'm remaining with Shear Magic. I like the personal feel of the Salon. Debbie Morrison now cuts my hair and she actually cut and styled it so much better.Service: Haircut

Had a massage at Relax and Renew Massage by Helen, she was wonderful! Highly recommend her! She's located inside Shear Magic. The whole experience was great, I'm definitely going to see her again!

Horrible service both from the salon and from the massage therapist. Don't use Groupon because that's just their hook to get you to come in. Horrible customer service. If you don't want to take customers from Groupon, then don't sign up for it.

What a great cut!!! I saw Natalie and she took a bad haircut that I got from another salon in Valparaiso and made my hair cute again!! So excited!! She is not only a terrific person, but has a great eye for style; she is honest with her opinion and listens to what you are looking for! The entire staff is friendly and this is my new favorite salon!

Decided I wanted to switch up my hair a bit so saw Shear didn't have any reviews n thought I'd check them out and I'm sure glad I did! I called for a last minute appointment with Jennifer and she was amazing! We weren't quite sure we could achieve the color I wanted (cuz my hair was previously dyed quite dark) but she did her best and it turned out a lot better than I was hoping for! She took all my Pinterest ideas and turned it into a beautiful violety red ombré that I'm insanely obsessed with! She was extremely friendly and helpful the entire 3 hours! I can't wait to go back :) The rest of the lovely ladies at the salon were also very friendly! And the salon itself is very clean and the location is easily accessible :) So if you're looking for a new place to get your hair done I definitely recommend stopping here!
