I called as our 17yr old pet had passed and I didn't know what to do (100lb dog). They were quick to assist and let me know what services they offered. With limited funds and full emotions I (and the whole family)really appreciated the help, options and directions provided in a time like this

We adopted Glenda and George, now named Lucy and Cheeto, from the Hendricks Animal Shelter. They have been with us for about 4 months now, and they have been the greatest new family members! Both are about a year old now, they are full of energy and fun! The process of adopting from the Shelter was very smooth and easy. Thank You!

I fully understand they are government run, but to not be with my pet/ family member as she was euthanized and tightly wrapped in a plastic bag after really upset me.

I adopted my cute little Rosie here a few weeks ago and my experience was wonderful!! The staff was very kind and helped us get to know her personality and what she liked. We were surprised to see that on her first day in our home she was very relaxed and cuddly. I can tell that this was a result of the staff giving her their love. They also gave me treats and a toy for her. I 100% recommend adopting a pet here :)

Great staff! Very nice volunteers. Cages were very clean, plenty of food and water. They take time to bring you out a cat or dog for a meet and greet even if they're busy. I wish I could adopt them all!! So if you're reading this, go see them, and adopt a new best friend today ?

There has been a huge mistake. The pug named Buddy was not a surrender!! He is an emotional support dog for an elder man who had a medical emergency. He has every intention to pick up his buddy. Please correct this misunderstanding. Thank you for your help.

It was time for my old and adorable Pittie to go to doggy heaven. Animal Control staff helped me and ol' Blue take this last step, together. Being that I am on a SSI type budget, the service they provide fit my budget, very affordable. Blue was my best friend. Tore me up at 63, to see him go. But the staff was amazing.
