My son and now wife married here last month, and with the wonderful Wedding Coordinator, Eva. The grounds and staff were absolutely perfect! I will tell you, it rained and rained that day and they so wanted their ceremony outdoors before the indoor reception.
Eva, the wedding coordinator, had a calm under that stress and pressure of logistics and timing. She was masterful in working with the couple, the affected vendors and other people on pivoting plans and then even communicating to the arriving guests about Plan A or Plan B as we watched radar. Well, it ALL worked out and the ceremony happened outdoors with some sprinkles, but oh the bride (my daughter-in-law!) received her dream to be outdoors for her lovely ceremony.
Eva was poised and organized and friendly and professional. She worked closely with the bridal party, the separate gals and guys portions, the catering, the florist, the musicians, the photographers and DJ. She was extremely respectful and mindful in her considerations of who needed to be communicated about what and when. ALSO, at the rehearsal, I almost forgot to mention, she really "set the stage" for the wedding day, obviously running through the rehearsal, but very importantly reminding all that if anything came up to leave the bride and groom on their own to let them enjoy their day and that's what she and the bridal party appointees were there to help with the day of the wedding.
Now, the Meyer's Castle was just MARVELOUS. So many guests were enthralled and in awe of the grounds and interior spaces and details. The cocktail hour in the "speakeasy" feeling place was awesome with a live band playing, and good room to mingle and enjoy the setting, and then the dining room area and dance floor that followed were spacious, safe, ample to see and hear everything. What an awesome day it was and memories to forever be cherished at Meyer's Castle, and having Eva on board for the event was so extremely helpful and put the day at ease in good hands and competence. Thank you, Eva!

My husband and I had our dream wedding at this beautiful castle. Everything was perfect and went smoothly. All of that wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing coordinator Eva. I can’t say enough good things about her. She was so attentive to our needs and made sure everything was in order so that we could have the perfect day. I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you Eva for all you’ve done for us.

Had my daughter's wedding and shower last night. The staff is amazing. Made the experience so much nicer. The site is historical,and the atmosphere inside is very cool.. . However, if you look to close, you will notice the place is old and worn out. This is mostly outside were you noticie the age of the place. Now, the one glaring issue is NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY AT ALL.. Had one hell of a time getting my wheelchair bound mother into the reception hall. Just getting from the car to the building was a difficult task. And those are the reasons for the mediocre three stars

We had our wedding here 8-24-24. It was absolutely amazing. The food was great. The castle itself is stunning. Eva, my coordinator, went above & beyond to make sure we were all taken care of. She was part of the family by the end of the night! Overall communication with everyone was easy & fun.

I am disabled veteran and this place is a nightmare for anyone with a mobility disability. The employee named Dan was tremendously rude when asked about an easier way to get in and out. Absolutely horrible venue

Very beautiful location, super organized, wonderful staff, in one word - EVERYTHING PERFECT.

I just got married on 9/20/24 at Meyer's Castle. From the beginning of our planning process, my husband and I knew this was THE PLACE. Not only are the garden grounds beautiful, but every room they have to offer, including the newly renovated bathrooms, were beautiful from every angle. The Speakeasy Lounge was the perfect, classic place to host cocktail hour that has a beautiful wooden carved bar accessible from both sides as it sits in the center of the room. We then had our reception in the West Canopy (larger of the two ballrooms). Beautiful chandeliers and florals hang from the tented ceilings with a massive dance floor. The day of the wedding was hot for late September (temps around 85° and humid as it rained in the morning) but the venue was able to bring in large fans to cool down the room. The West Canopy also has a large deck attached to the room which allowed guests to take photos and enjoy the cool breeze after the sun went down. The food was one of the best banquet meals I have ever had and all of my guests raved about the food and the quick bar service. We were fortunate to have multiple bartenders so there was never a line at the bar. The Castle also recommended our wonderful coordinator, Eva, who was an angel and went above and beyond her required duties. Eva helped the servers pass meals (we had 180 guests) so dinner was quick to be served. She also not only attended to myself and my husband, but also continued to check in with my family all night asking if she could assist with anything.
Throughout the whole process, the office workers were phenomenal at responding promptly. The owner is very personable and remembered us each time we'd visit and would always make time for us, even if we'd stop in last minute to ask a quick question.
My husband and I wouldn't have chosen any other place to have our wedding and thanks to the staff, our wedding was more perfect that we ever imagined. I wouldn't change a thing about our beautiful night! It was truly a fairytale day.

Don’t waste your money the place is ran down and needs to be taken care of the grounds look horrible and we were in a room that had a plastic roof held together by shipping tape. If the air conditioner was on you couldn’t feel it not enough bartenders and the ones that were there were very rude. A the end of the night they wanted you out even though we had to load up the vehicle. The local cop acting as security was also a jerk trying to rush people. I feel bad for my friends who spent the money on this place. So save your money there are many nicer places with better staffing.

If you want your wedding to feel magical like you have stepped back in time this is place for you. It’s a short ride outside of Chicago in Dyer Indiana. They had the most beautiful gardens, statues and a gorgeous peacock on the estates. Perfect for an outdoor spring, summer or fall wedding. Due to the nature of the grounds the parking was interesting but they solved it with a shuttle bus but I would see if valet company would be possible. I feel this is a hidden Gem that will be the perfect place for a memorable wedding.

Beyond imagination and the dreamiest place I have ever seen locally. Highly recommend for anyone looking to book their wedding venues. So beautiful and exquisite. The chandeliers are my favorite along with the speakeasy room.

If you are looking for an absolutely stunning venue for a wedding, this is it! Our daughter was married at the castle last weekend in a stunning ceremony. We held the rehearsal dinner in the Oak Room, the ceremony at the
reception in the West Canopy Ballroom. Everything was beautiful, food was outstanding and peacocks were strolling. Our coordinator, Eva, was amazing. She did everything she possibly could to bring our daughter's ideas to life. If you are considering coordinating services, she is top notch! Thanks to everyone who helped make the day magical!
