We heard such wonderful things about this place, so this was our first stop on our search for a wedding venue. We went for a tour, we did show up early and they were more than willing to take us early which was appriciated. Our tour was extremely rushed…..only to get you into the office so they can lay out their OUTRAGEOUS fees. Thousands of dollars for a 30 minuite ceremony(includes NOTHING but chairs) and you cant even tell me if we are aloud to walk around a take picture before or after?! Seemed like the staff wasnt happy to be working on the weekend and they had very vegue answer to almost all our questions. They do nothing to go above and beyond to make you feel welcome or special. We had such high hopes! Was very disappointed.

We had our wedding at Meyer's Castle in November of this year and it was absolutely perfect. The team worked closely with us to make sure every detail was the way we envisioned, the food was incredible, and the venue space looked amazing. Highly recommend booking the bridal suite - they just remodeled and it is truly a mini Anthropologie - so cute for pictures of you and your girls getting ready in the morning. We also booked the speakeasy for our cocktail hour, and our guests loved it. Everyone seemed to have a really nice time! We worked very closely with Kate Madrigal, who I truly can't say enough nice things about. She was very patient, and detail oriented on every aspect making sure our day was perfect... and it was. Thank you, Kate!!The only thing I would recommend against is booking their preferred DJ, Mark. We had multiple conversations with him prior to the date and seemed to be on the same page until the night of when he went rouge with song choices that were off of the provided playlists and what we previously had talked about. He also wasn't taking requests from guests, who later told me that he was rude to them when they went up to make a request.Other than that, the night was perfect and I wish we could do it all over again!

My mother was the sous chef to the only Cordon Blue trained chef in Indiana during the lat 1030''s. Se worked for the Meyer family in that capacity until 1938. She worked there a few years after high school and, as a result, became the most excellent cook. Our family benefitted from her training over the years. My father was a grocer and my sister, brother, and I all developed a great touch at good food and cuisine. Thank you Mom. And the Meyer Family. My mom was called Virginia.

We had our ceremony and reception at Meyer’s Castle and from start to finish it was absolute PERFECTION! The staff has worked to create a unique and intimate experience for the guests and with our smaller wedding, it was exactly what we hoped for. We had the pleasure of working with one of their wedding coordinators who had a remarkable attention to detail. Food, service, location, literally everything was what envisioned for our special day and we can’t thank Eva and the rest of the staff at Meyer’s Castle for helping make our dream wedding a reality.

I was a guest at a wedding at Meyers Castle earlier this year. Being a person that's also in hospitality, I am typically not the kind of person that enjoys writing reviews. However, I felt the need to write a review based on my experience.I was a guest at a wedding about 10 years ago at the same venue and I cannot tell you how much improvement this venue has made not only to the grounds but to the service and food as well. The owners of the property I'm sure, have been invested a significant amount of finances and work into the improvements they have made.Upon our arrival, we parked our vehicle, and we're picked up by a sprinter van shuttle to drive us up the hill, and they delivered us to where the ceremony was being held. What a fun experience from the moment we pulled in the grounds. The gardens and other areas of the castle look to have been completely rebuilt, and have been manicured to perfection , which made it very easy for us, the family, to enjoy taking photos together, and with our bride and groom throughout the entire day. The coordinator/planner that the Couple hired through the venue, I cannot recall her name, but she was an absolute pleasure to work with. I have met very few people in my experience in the industry that have met someone that works as hard as she was that day. She was professional, completely organized, helpful and catered to the needs of not only the bride and groom, but to the family, vendors as well as the staff to ensure that their celebration went off without a hitch. I had a moment to speak with her and learned that she's been with the Meyer's Castle property for over 20 years and you can tell that she truly loves what she does and loves watching their couples enjoy their day.We enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the speakeasy, while the bride and groom took photos and then we were hosted into the west canopy ballroom for dinner and the reception. The food is exquisite, the best banquet food I have ever had hands-down. You can tell that the chef and kitchen staff are not afraid to use flavor and seasoning in their food. Portions are fantastic and everyone left full and happy. The bartenders were a pleasure. They were fun to chat with while they make drinks and were a huge help considering I'm not a huge drinker myself. They helped me navigate something festive that I would enjoy. The decor in the canopy has also been upgraded since my last visit. It seems as though the West canopy has new drapery, chandeliers, accent lighting, floors as well as completely remodeled restrooms, which are a photo shoot to themselves. I also heard from the bride that the bridal suite has been completely renovated as well. The staff that Meyer's Castle has hired was professional quick and incredibly helpful and kind for the entire evening. I cannot sing enough praises for Meyer's Castle, and the countless improvements they have made to their venue. This is hands-down without a doubt the number one venue that I would be happy to recommend and share with others. The peacocks they have on the grounds are the icing on the cake for this venue and we couldn't get enough of them. Thank you for a great evening and keep up the great work and improvements!

We just had our September wedding here and it was perfect. It was better than we could expect from the beautiful landscaping, lighting when the sun went down, to our event coordinator Kate. Kate made it where we didn’t have to lift a finger and was very helpful with direction on how to make our wedding day perfect. We really lucked out with this venue and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Our tour was unfortunately on a rainy day so we didn’t get the full tour of the property as planned. The speakeasy was really nice! The staff that assisted us was also wonderful. The issue was we never received the email with the mock pricing or any email communications from the venue after that tour. So we just booked a different venue.

Had my wedding here this year. Assistant that was to help during reception was late. Water leaking from the ceiling during reception. Purchased top chief liquor. My guest was told they only had Tito’s the entire night. The venue does not follow up to see how your event went after paying 20,000 plus dollars to use there venue. Also the social media site does not have one African American couple on it and I know a few who has used this venue….would not recommend

Had my wedding here on 9.29.23 and it was absolutely amazing! The food, service and venue were all top notch! We received many, many compliments on the food from the guests. Kate was our coordinator and she was OUTSTANDING! The venue was very, very accommodating with all our requests, especially after our first venue caught on fire. Do not look any further for a better venue and a better event coordinator!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful reception or a better experience! Meyer's Castle was absolutely stunning (see photos), and our wedding day was magical. Kate Madrigal was our event coordinator, and she made my vision come to life! The service was wonderful, the food was amazing, and it was an absolutely perfect day. Our friends and family raved about the location and setting. Thank you!

Our wedding was beautiful, we couldn’t have asked for a better day or venue. The castle was a stunning backdrop for our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Meyer’s Castle and each piece came perfectly together. The newly redecorated bridal suite is gorgeous and my bridal party and I felt like royalty getting ready. The florals and gardens were stunning and there is an Instagram worthy photo spot around every corner. Our coordinator, Eva, did a great job setting up all of our decor and was very communicative throughout the planning process. Eva and the MC team accommodated everything we wanted to include on our special day and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding. Everyone loved the food and even loved the table wine, numerous guests took photos of the wine so that they could buy a bottle later on. We are so glad to have started the rest of our lives together after saying “I Do” at Meyer’s Castle; surrounded by family, friends, and 2 beautiful peacocks that roam the grounds.
