There's always an issue with the pharmacy. Either they don't run prescriptions through insurance and try to charge you the non-insurance price or they claim your prescription hasn't been received. It's amazing literally every other Walgreens pharmacy can see the prescription in the system but the Joliet Street, Dyer, Walgreens can not and will argue you never had a prescription sent there.

The pharmacist and staff gave me a very difficult time! My son has been very sick with chest and stomach pain, in and out of the ER. When our normal Pharmacy ran out of the very medicine he needed I searched for some, and Dyer had it in stock. The pharmacist said he already had some pills of this particular script in C.L. Walgreens, so she would not fill it. I explained to her that my son was in pain has many medical issues, and needs this script. Our regular pharmacist helped by clearing out all record in the computer that caused an issue, and told me i should have no problem filling it ......but when I called back, Dyer pharmacist said she still wouldn't do it!! THERE WAS NO REASON NOT TO FILL HIS PRESCRIPTION ANYMORE, SHE JUST DIDN'T FILL IT BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO!! I had to find a Walgreens half an hour away, and they cheerfully filled his script, immediately, with no issue, this proves that the script had no issues in the system.

First time in this Walgreens, just was browsing some makeup options, Pat in the cosmetics was so delightful in helping me with all the makeup deals. She was amazing! I wish I had pat at my Walgreens!

Not sure what all these bad reviews are for. The pharmacist on duty goes way above and beyond to help you out. Always informative if you have any questions and courteous staff.

Good grief the pharmacy techs here are so rude. The pharmacist is always so nice but the other people that work there? I understand being overworked. I think we all are. I work in customer service so I try to go out of my way to be friendly to any who is in my shoes. But just go to jewel Osco pharmacy across the street instead. They at least try to help. And this isn’t just one bad experience. It’s every single time I go here. I will be transferring everything I can to Osco or even Amazon. I never in a million years thought I would rather give Amazon my money that walgreens.

Avoid this Walgreens, prices marked mean nothing. If you have to go there double check the price posted and what you're charged. Bad place overall.

After sitting in the drive thru pharmacy line for an hour, they ask me to pull around again because my order will take 20 minutes. I’m back in line and an hour later I’m still waiting. I’ll try not to ever use this pharmacy again. They need more help or a second lane to accommodate customers.

I went in planning to start a simple skincare routine for myself. Having hardly any knowledge of what products to buy, the shelf layout helped me find a few products on my own before I could receive some help. After she was done assisting her current customer, Pat asked if I needed help and came over to provide me with all the information I needed to buy a simple skincare setup. she had some experience with the products herself, and gave me recommendations based on that and my own skin's needs. I'm confident I walked out with everything I needed and felt very satisfied to boot.

Went in to get a prescription for my wife and the entire pharmacy staff was walking out for lunch and they said they couldn't help me... my wife is currently in labor and they really couldn't care. She needs her prescription for after the birth... hmm... this would be zero stars if it was allowed. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Manager should be ashamed of their staff.

Auto refill does not work. Went in to pick up my script and was told it 'didn't go through' on its refill date, so come back in 20-30 minutes. OK, came back an hour later and was told they only have 5, not 30, pills on hand. So, who stocks only 5 of any pill? And your auto refill system didn't kick out any notification that your inventory is short? And you didn't feel it necessary to advise your customer that you wouldn't have the medicine on its renewal date? Sam, in the pharmacy, did her best to try to resolve the situation but this is very poor management of service systems (hence the 3 stars, to reflect her efforts). I ended up having to transfer this script to a nearby CVS that regularly stocks this medication. I'm going to transfer all my scripts to the same CVS because this is only one example of what has been a terrible experience for the past few months with Walgreens pharmacy in Dyer.
