This place is good to go to for dry foods but the produce and meat smells. The chicken I got was spoiled. And the catfish smelled horrible.

My experiment with Johnny’s Food Mark was terrible went in thereto get two big large catfishes had them cut down got home put them in the refrigerator the next day the fish just had a bad smell went back to the store. Spoke with Johnny’s and let him know that the fish was bad. He told me that his fish is fresh every day. Everything in the store has a bad smell the man do not care about his customers he just care about making money so if you buy food from the store, please do not you will get sick and Johnny’s don’t care. ??

I only went to Johnny's today, because someone asked me to pick up some Chicken Wings. I also bought a Cheese Danish that was stale. I threw it to the Birds. (Actually?) I would say it has been over 20 yrs. since I've been there. I didn't like the comment he made insinuating that all black people ate Chitlins. ?

The lady at the register was very rude. She was on the phone the entire time and when I had questions she asks as if I'm bothering her. I had to ask the same question 4 times and by the fifth I just politely put my item down and left. I didn't come in this store to not even be greeted spend my money then be ignored. This lady needs to go to the back if she can't provide customers with Barr minimum customer service.

I never had a bad experience with Johnny's. He and his son is so helpful everytime I come in there and my child father comes in there we are in wheel chairs and they make sure we get everything we need and even when it's alot to carry or put on our wheel chairs... his workers gladly walk with us home to make sure our groceries get to the house and we were only right up the street. My family is so please and thankful for johnnys.

Bought some chicken thighs last night by the time I made it home I realized that they were spoiled.I called back today and he told me that I only want to shop at Walmart and hung the phone up on me .don’t shop here !!!!

I am never going back here again. Every time I go here they have food that’s going bad or already moldy and sour smelling. All I have to say is check the expiration dates when you shop there because they are okay with selling expired food. Check the dates!!!

I don’t know why y’all talking bad about Johnny’s meat market I’m from East Chicago and I love Johnny meat market no matter with the smell the food is great yes his prices went up but it’s worth it . I stay in Lafayette now I always go back home and get my meat he’s the man I just wish he’ll come to Lafayette and open a meat market here he would make a killing but until then I’ll be going home every month to get my meat.
