I went to pick up some colostomy supplies. They were very expensive and my insurance hadn't gone thru yet. One of the sales associates took an interest, brought me to his office, asked about our situation and he gave me my husband's supplies at cost. He was kind. He was empathetic. He was so caring. And when I left. I was going to shake his hand and he hugged me goodbye. I will never forget his kindness.

They were very helpful with changing my air intake from nose pillows to a mask. She helped me fit it correctly, showed me how it worked, and didn't charge me for the change even though I was just outside my 30 day window!! Thank you so much!

Never had any problems..I had humana insurance then canceled them because they were not in the network anymore. I can't say anything bad about Alicks Home Medical.

I have done business with Alick's Home Medical on hwy 23 in Mishawaka for over 6 years, and have always been extremely pleased and satisfied with their products and service to me. Last week I found myself in a life threading situation, when I forgot to bring my car cord for charging my portable oxygen. I was in my Nephews truck and went shopping with him when I looked down and realized I only had about 20 minutes left on my portable. I then realized I did not have my cord with me. My nephew drove me immediately to Alick's and I waited jut a few minutes to be helped , as they were very busy. The girl , Her name I believe was Alice, not remembering clearly. She asked me to sit down, I did and told her rather quickly that I needed a car changer for this. Shea asked me at this time if I needed her to get me a tank, and I said I should be ok, if I just sit her, and she was quick. She was... I laid a bill out, as she returned and she looked up price, I realized that I did not have enough money, She then said let me check if we can rent one out. She came back and said just go ahead and this was a Wednesday, she stated that if I could bring it back on Friday by 9 I would not be charged. I really almost cried, I was here with it back with it banded back up and in the slightly torn bag at 9 am on Friday. I can not say enough about the person that went over and above to help me with a serious problem. Thank you so much.... S S

My DRIVE WALKER NITRO stop closing properly because a screw was missing from the red device causing it to fail to click into position when folded. I called the South Bend store and was told I could get it fixed at either the South Bend or the Elkhart Store. I chose the Elkhart store because it was near my home. When I arrived, the representative straight from the door was busy eating. When I described the problem, her response was "It's supposed to do that". When I told her that was not true, she replied "we don't fix anything at this store". When I told her I was told by a representative at the South Bend store it could be taken care of at either store, she interrupted her lunch and took the walker to the back room. In less than a minute she returned and told me it cannot be repaired at Elkhart. I then left the store, angry. Fortunately, I found a screw in the back of my car. It must have fallen when the walker was placed in the car. I had the proper tools to fix it myself and did so. Problem solved! Will not go to the Elkhart store again nor recommend it to anyone.

we received some catheters and they were different from the ones we had been using. They were cheaply made and we didn't feel they would work for us. I tried to get some help and talked with Tina. I felt like she talked down to me and was not wanting to help me. At the end of our conversation she said she would call me back. She never did. I tried calling the next day and Tina wasn't available but they said she would call me back. She didn't. So, so said that they are not in the business of helping people. Especially when you are really in need of care. I was told by Tina that if she couldn't make money off me she wasn't going to help me. I just feel that is wrong. I know everyone has to make a living and I wasn't asking for something for nothing I was just asking for something different then what I got and I would have been more than happy to pay the difference from what insurance was willing to pay but nothing got the help. They will not be a go to place for me in the future. From the looks of it, I am not the only unhappy customer out there. I would think they would be ashamed of their ratings.

The ELKHART LOCATION: Whatever you do, if you're ever asked to go to alex's own medical for your medical supplies, run for your life. The women there are not kind at all and speak to you in an off-putting tone. They lie to you. I rented a scooter from them to go to the blueberry festival and when I brought it back. I didn't realize that it was late. The man works there only on Saturdays told me that he did not know if I would be charged for an entire week for being 2 days late . I asked him if they charge me for a full week Can I come back and get it for 5 days and he said yes. I called back to see Yes yes I was charged and they charged me for a week. I asked if I can come in and get the scooter for 5 days. Because I wanted to go to the apple festival with my 2 special needs. Family members that I care for. I was told no. I was told they didn't have any more scooters to rent in the facility which I believe to be false and I was told that it was past the actual billing period and there was nothing else that they could do. Which I believe is very heartless and without compassion. Alex home medical team smiles at you. When you're spending money and are mean to you when you Ask them to work with you and to show some compassion and leniency. Next time I will rent from a hospital medical supply. Find another company or order something off of amazon For my medical supply needs.

Very rude and disrespectful on the phone. The negative attitude is very unappealing. Loosing my family as a customer. My poor 76 year old grandmother didn’t mean to forget to return her oxygen reader.
