I purchased an ADT Security System on 7/31/23, a technician came out to set up the system on 8/3/23. On 8/6/23 I received a phone call from ADT at 11:55pm saying that my alarm was going off, when I go to my home, I find a sensor on the floor. No one was intruding my home, the technician didn't install it properly and it fell off the door. I call customer service and they say they are going to send me a self service kit to fix it myself even though I paid $129.99 for professional installation on 8/3/23. I get another call on 8/9/23 that the alarm is going off, I check it out and another sensor fell off another door. I get a third call on 8/12/23 that the alarm is going off and a third sensor fell off a third door. I told the account rep that opened the account I wanted to cancel service. He apologized and stated that wouldn't be a problem, they have a 6 month money back guarantee and that I qualify for that. And I said okay to clarify, "I am being released from my contract with no penalty and will be reimbursed my installation fee". He said "yes". ADT has yet to cancel my contract or refund my money. This company is horrible and does nothing but give me the run around. I have tried for a week to contact someone about this and I keep getting pushed off to another person and put on excessive wait times with no resolution.

This company literally STOLE $400 out of my bank account and when I called them about this obvious mistake they told me tough. Also that if I wanted my money back to contact my bank or a lawyer then hangup on me! DO NOT GET SERVICES FROM ADT!

Andrew, my name is Eric not James: The installer, Dylan, is a perfectionist. Beautiful install in a difficult location and operates perfectly!! Have been an ADT customer for 25 years and needed it installed in a large barn on my farm.

ADT is charging an elderly 91 year old woman 408.00 for breaking a contract, which this 91 year old woman had no idea, sheWas signing her name to legal documents. Very frightening an ADT rep would sell equipment to a 90 yr old that they don't even know how to operate. Unacceptable & frightening to take advantage of our elders.

The technician was not at all knowledgeable and complained throughout the installation about anything and everything...his boss, his equipment, the fact that my home is brick and he was not informed in advance, etc. He installed a wired camera into a lower outlet that is controlled by a light switch and rather than rewiring it correctly, he attempted to stretch the wire to accommodate, but it keeps coming out of the wall and we have to constantly check if there is power to the camera. He complained so much about having to wire an additional keypad that I told him to forget it. He was in our home from around 9:45am until 7:45pm. Approximately 10 hours. TEN HOURS. He installed one camera (poorly), upgraded one keypad (rather than adding it to another location as I had requested), and added one wireless door sensor. All other equipment was installed previously. In addition to complaining for the entire 10 hours, he did not know how to work his own equipment, including his laptop. He was visibly frustrated on multiple occasions after getting logged out or not getting a response from his boss or other team members. He was incredibly unprofessional. I am trying to give ADT the benefit of the doubt since they have a good reputation, but this is beyond unacceptable and I will be looking for another service for our home security.

Our technician, Erick, arrived when expected and came prepared to install everything that we requested. He was knowledgeable and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend!

So I contacted ADT as their reply to my comment suggested. It has now been almost 2 weeks and I have heard exactly what I expected, nothing. So they want me to loan them $833 for at least six months and then if I sign a new contract they'll give it back to me. I would rather they keep the money will never ever do business with them again.

I called ADT to consider switching from my current Alarm Co. to their service. A couple days later I had a call to set-up an appointment and a person by the name Jason from the ADT Evansville office will be coming. I took time out of my busy schedule to be home that day. He eventually arrived but late and with a lady whom he stated was a trainee. He looked around, asked questions and left. Before leaving he stated I will hear back from him the following week. I never did, and it has been several weeks. I don’t think this is a way of running a business. Not trustworthy!!!I will not be switching my service to ADT ... they lost my business.

We asked ADT to set up. The technicians came, gave us 2 options: 1 was basic service with rate of about $29. 2 had cellphone function with rate of $48. We chose option 1. After finishing the set up, the technicians asked my wife to sign the contract. He said it's option 1. My wife didn't read the contract, because it's always in rush under such condition. Later ADT charged us $48. I checked the contract, found it's option 2.
