I used to be a very frequent visitor of B&N. However, I moved out of the immediate area and it, sadly, just because more convenient for me to acquire my books online. I stopped in here while I was in town for a birthday party, because I was looking for something very specific and wanted to pick one out after looking through a few. The store was exactly as I remembered it. Clean, well lit, and I could find everything easily. I was able to located the section I needed, grab a few different options, and figure out which was going to suit my needs better. You can't really do that online. I also, in true bookworm fashion, left with two more books and two jigsaw puzzles. I will probably try to make an effort to stop in here more often. The employees were very nice, and there's just something so much more fulfilling about a brick and mortar bookstore over online shopping.

Great selection and helpful staff. I'm happy we have a larger book store in Evansville. I could get lost here.

Unfortunately, the store is completely rundown. Doesn't even have the New York Times or the local newspaper. You have to ask for these behind the counter. That said the Starbucks café is filthy grimy old the staff, rude act like they really are disinterested in serving you a 4 1/2 dollar cup of coffee, but then they ask if you want to use your Barnes & Noble discount and then you say no. That said the carpets need replacing the bathrooms are horrendous and there's always someone in there taking a dump. Strangely of the 25 years I've been going to this place there's always someone in there, taking a dump and it always smells like a hog trough and a bunch of horses in there or something you know what I'm saying, but reallythere's a reason why this company is basically in receivership. The stores are just a giant discount book warehouse.

Idk?? Maybe get some associates out on the floor to speak to people or ask questions? Just a thought.

We should all be thankful for Barnes & Noble. Reading is a key component to a higher level of intelligence. Without books, society would become even more awful. We don't want that.
