I picked my car up today, and I’m very happy. Before I came here I brought my car to a different transmission place, and that other place tried to charge me $4200 for a job I didn’t even need done. Took it here and got my car fixed for $185. And it was fast.

Went there a couple years ago and got my transmission rebuilt, they ended up messing it up, had it taking back 3 times and after months of waiting it finally worked… for 50,000 miles and now it’s messed up again. I’m not a bad driver on the transmission by no means and it was just poor work skill.

they take months to repair after they said a week after getting dropped off I kept calling every 2 weeks they said they’d be done in few days but weren’t when they finally got done 4 month later. I came back to car with stolen valuables and they didn’t take responsibility, saying they get things stolen from their parking lot very frequently.

They have a poor security and had $1200 sub amp systems stolen from them and they took no responsibility for the cuz no signs of brake in in the vehicle so I assume one of the workers stole it and they are Hypocrite and tell me that other vehicles at there shop has had stolen things in there shopIf u leave a vehicle with them take pictures before dropping off or take anything valuable out

Took my truck in another shop they said I needed a transmission rebuild, dropped it off so bears could look at it and they found a linkage that was broken ! Saved me thousands .. very honest company

Had my car since June 2023. Here it is the end of the year and every time I call, I hear how he has horrible employees that dont show up to work and then I get promised my car is next in the bay to be repaired. Finally I asked if I found another repair place, would he consider paying for part of the towing as I was looking at 2 towing fees and of course a new battery since it has been sitting so long. He declined, said no way I was on my own. Just got off the phone again, heard how he is only 1 man working on all these vehicles because he cant rely on his staff and promised that my car will be in the bay by the 2nd week of January. Meanwhile, my husband hit a deer last week, so we really need that car badly given we are now down to 1 vehicle. I feel like this man has me handcuffed. I keep asking myself, why has he worked on other cars and allow mine to go unattended. I do not know this man personally....makes no sense to me. Geese, I just want my car fix!!! Is that really too much to ask after being patient for 6 months?

If you like supporting local business, looking for honest, and caring people who are knowledgeable about your vehicle then this is your place. Bear was my second opinion after AMMCO tried raking me over the coals and I'm so happy I took my vehicle here. Tom the owner is genuine and will shoot you straight. They are in the business of honest work. I will take all my car needs to Bear Transmission!!!

I give 5 star rating for customer service when I called with a few questions... The advice, mentality and respect the owner showed has me convinced it's a top notch shop... He could of said it's this and that just to get me in the door like a few other local shops have done or tried...I highly recommend this business and let them know how much you appreciate the money they saved you.... Thanks again...
