Charged for 4 extra days because these people didn’t do their job. I got a refund after emailing the ceo and a vp at budget Avis. The CEO’s email is easy to find. Wish there was a zero star option.

If I could give zero stars I would.My husband prepaid for my car rental from Friday - Sunday. The desk agent at the Evansville airport told me he needed a card for a “returnable deposit”. I only had my debit card (stupid, I know), so he ran that. I returned the car to the same agent on Sunday. He looked to be about 19 years old and was about as friendly as a honey badger wearing Prada and Gucci. On Sunday, I filled the gas tank, handed him the keys, signed a form and boarded my flight home to Texas. Not so bad, right? WRONG!Three days later I get a text from budget/Avis asking me to return the car because it was overdue. I guess I accidentally put the car in my carry-on bag and took it home. Silly me!When I called customer service, they claimed to not have a record of me renting the car. When I called them again, they were finally able to locate the rental agreement but still claimed I didn’t return the car. When I asked to speak to someone else, I spoke to a woman whom I could barely understand and who told me that the issue was resolved. Ok, not so bad right? WRONG.Lo and behold, we check our bank and card statements the next day and see that we now have an over $300 charge on our debit card and over $500 charged on our credit card. All for a car I had for three days that was supposed to be less than $300. I called customer service again and they told me no one was available, so I sent a strongly worded email. They responded by telling me they have “escalated the situation” to their resolution team. Suuuuure, I have an TON of faith in that. They informed me that their investigation would take 7-10 business days. Over a week of no explanation of their incompetence and exorbitant charges? No way. I’ll call and email everyday until this is resolved. I can’t even begin to describe how stressful and frustrating this situation has been. Budget/Avis customer service is its own layer of hell and I wouldn’t wish this BS on my worst enemy. I will NEVER rent from them again and strongly suggest you don’t either!

Worse company to rent from. Spent 3 weeks trying to get money back they charged for a car I returned on time. Had to call customer service several times to accomplish this. There were not enough "I apologize" to make up for trouble they caused me.

DO NOT RENT HERE. I reserved a 12 passenger on 5/3/23 for pickup on 5/21/23 to take 11 people on a business trip on 5/22/23 at 6am. When I arrived to pickup the vehicle at 5pm I was told the don’t have any vans. I asked for two mini vans or suburban. They didn’t have either, only sedans. Completely unacceptable. I asked if it would be canceled and was told there was a $17 cancellation fee. Unacceptable. But if I just leave it and don’t do anything it “should” go away and be fine.All of this after waiting for 30 minutes at the counter for a rep to even show up for three of us waiting in line.This Budget is a joke.

If I could give this place a no star I would. They gave us a mini van instead of the suv we ordered and it was not ready at all... he gave our car that we ordered to someone else. My husband went in and the man tried to fight my husband. He refused service to us after the altercation. I had already paid full price for the rental. We had to leave for our trip late because we were behind trying to find another rental somewhere else. After 6 hours past our leave time we finally found the last sun in town no thanks to budget. I have never experienced such rude service in my life. When I went in to pick up the car originally he looked at me and said "I have a a mini van that is all I have because I gave this couple my last SUV". We have a large family of 6 and was heading to the mountains. I have never met such a rude person in my life. I have never needed to post a negative review before. Do not go through budget.

Horrible Horrible customer service by Gage Jackson. Arrived at 2:50 to return a rental that had mechanic problems from Indianapolis to pick up another car to drive to Atlanta. Upon receipt the bill was 20% more than original price at pick up. Upon questioning the agent, Gage, explain there was nothing in his control and to call customer service. Called customer service and they immediately change to the original price well gauge put up a sign and went out to his car at 3:30 PM. Other people come to rent vehicles, he came back in, rented vehicles to them and then put up a sign he was out to lunch and again went to his car while I was trying to rent a vehicle from him after having two confirmation numbers. Real smirky attitude and did not give two cents whether I as a customer were happy or not. Had to rent from enterprise (5pm), the counter next door after having two reservations and confirmation numbers and vehicle with problems from Indianapolis.

Ms Fields,I had reserved a 4 wheel drive Toyota 4 runner from your company for our ski trip to Colorado. On my way to pick up the vehicle I received a phone call from a very RUDE employee insisting I give my payment info on the phone which I did. When I arrived there was no one at the rental desk. I was very disappointed to find that I had been given a 2wd KIA Sportage. This vehicle is UNACCEPTABLE for our ski trip to the mountains in Colorado. If I wanted a much smaller 2wd SUV I would have driven the Ford Escape that I already own. I paid a premium for the 4 runner and if one was not available, would expect a comparable vehicle at least with 4wd.

I had to get the car in by 10am. I had it there by 9am.No one was at counter. I had to use the drop box.My car was not checked in until later in the day. So, I was charged another day rental!The person was late and from the other companies observation, they are always late.More time on phone trying to get my day and money back...Very disappointed in Budget.

I would have given zero stars if there was an option. There is a reason why this lady at the Budget counter in Evansville Regional airport, Indiana works a minimum wage. She is incompetent, unreliable and extremely rude. She was verbally abusive and made us wait over three hours for our car which we ultimately did not even get.

We reserved a car a week in advance to be picked up at the airport in Evansville In. On June 2nd. Went to the counter and was advised that there wasn't any available and we would have to wait until a car was returned and cleaned. We waited over an hour and gave us the keys to a chevy Equinox and we reserved a small car such as a Toyota Camry. We went to the car and found out the accessories plug was Not working which we needed to plug in our Garmin Nav. We went back to the counter and the young man had left for the day, so we called the number and left a message for a call back. Never got a call back. I figured out the fuse was blown and bought a box mini car fuses at O'Rileys auto Parts and instaled it. Cost $10.00 We returned the Equinox on June 7th at the Evansville airport and no one was there at the counter, left keys in a drop box.We Will Never use Budget again. It was the worst experience we have Ever had renting a vehicle in over 40 years.

I've rented from budget as a traveler year round (medical field) for over 7 years. Not once did I have a single issue until I came to this location. I have always recommended this company to family and friends. I was getting a flat so I made it to the nearest budget location, this awful place. The young "lady" they had working and exchanging cars was rude to myself AND their own roadside assistance. I spoke with their roadside assistance and my home office, they had NEVER heard of half of the charges they were attempting to charge me for. The people at this location are greedy, period. They're trying to charge people for reasons their own partner locations and help lines have never heard of. Avoid this location at all costs!!!!

We rent a car in Evansville Indian on 3/21/22 through 3/25/22 . Lady in Evansville at airport had her kids there and they keep coming out of the back room and she kept telling them to go back in the back room. They were very distracting to her and she could not do her job right.When we got the car the license plates were expired call to let her know and she said that they would put new ones on at the new place so we were driving on expired plates from Illinois to Texas. Then we turn the car in at the airport in Houston Texas on the 25th before the time do in .Then we check our bank statement and they charged us an extra day because they said we kept the car over one day. Charge us an extra $300 very poor business do not recommend to rent a vehicle from the budget car rental very dissatisfied. If I could give zero stars I would but it won’t let me . Stay away from budget car rental. Call customer service and the guy did not help one bit . Got off phone and Call back and spoke with someone else . So I called back and got a hold of Hector and he was very helpful and got us a refund for the extra day and all the late fees and the extra insurance for the extra day . So everything they over charged us for he got it credited back to our card . Now that is good business so I will give them another chance if I ever need to rent a car again .

The young ladies working behind the counter 1/22 and 1/29 were absolutely wonderful. I had to use a wheelchair for transportation in the airport. The girls were so attentive. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend Budget in Evansville, Indiana.

Paid for a car never got the car, and still charged me on it never gotten my refund still waiting over 2 months now, worst experience ever i wont wish this service to my worst enemy its so sad ??
